1、$100 a day with amazonby irnes on 16. jul, 2010 in uncategorized without a doubt the amazon affiliate program is one of the most underrated of them all. what do you constantly hear from people? omg small commissions! or omg 24 hour cookie! people please the reason they implement these things is beca

2、use they are aware of the kind of power they have on the internet. youd do the same if you had the biggest e-commerce presence and trust on the internet.  they are aware it isnt too hard for anyone to send someone over to amazon to buy something. thats where most people go to buy online anyway!

3、so how do you do it? what are the keys to success?its simple, find something people are looking to buy and put it in front of them. thats in fact what all affiliate marketing is. their desire + the trust of amazon+amazons prices (usually)+amazons highly optimized sales pages= easy sales for us. some

4、times you might get lucky and they will buy multiple related and even unrelated products and you will get commissions on anything they buy from amazon within 24 hours of clicking your affiliate link.so instead of being a jackass and just giving general broad advice i have decided to layout the exact

5、 steps that i take to generate income with amazon on autopilot. i am going to assume you already know how to set up a domain, hosting and install wordpress.step 1: product selectionhead over to a and pick a category of products to look at. two categories i would avoid are books  and music. 

6、; they pay less then an adsense click and i have had absolutely horrible conversions with them.i usually take an hour or 2 to go through mutiple categories and really dig into picking winners.once you pick a category head over the the best sellers section.you might be asking yourself why are we look

7、ing at the best sellers? i do it for a good number of reasons1) these products are working well and are pleasing the customer. returns are less likely to happen.2) these products are converting well on amazon! (big)3) they are likely being marketed well by the product creator.4) usually they have go

8、od reviews on the page which is a big key to influencing the given person to buy.for my example i headed over to the best sellers section of the patio, lawn and garden category. i looked down the top 100 list and chose the weber 6507 rolling cart.why did i chose the weber 6507  rolling cart?1)

9、it has 35 reviews with a 4.5/5 rating. this plays a strong role in the psychology of buying.2) it costs more then $25. i have rule that a product should at the very minimum cost $25. the more your product is worth, the more comission $  you get.3) most importantly of all the name is simple yet

10、highly targeted. it seems realistic to me that a person would search for “weber 6507 rolling cart”. some products you will find have names like worx 123-45.242 lawn mower motor. the problem with these names is the google keyword tool will show 3000+ searches for such a hard to remember name which le

11、ads me to believe that the google keyword tool is displaying false numbers. yes it does happen! google inflates the searchs of a given keyword sometimes! aim for simple yet, highly targeted.3b) since it is so highly targeted the user usually knows what they want and are likely to be in a “buying” mo

12、de.step 2: competitive analysis/ keyword selectionnow that you have a product that matches the qualities of a winner its time for one of the most important steps period. all of our traffic will be coming from the search engines so we must meet a few criterias in order to rank as quickly and as easil

13、y as possible for your product.1) you must have an exact domain match. head over to wherever you buy your domains and type in the name of your product. in my case it was i know a lot of people are going to give me hell for this because of the trademark name within the domain but the exact match doma

14、in name is so powerful in ranking that it is a must in order to make this worthwhile. if you somehow have a fear or moral issues behind this then your can stop reading right now. these big name companies send a cease & desist letter most of the time. dont fight it, just give it to them and move

15、on. it has happened to me 2 times out of 53 sites and i simply complied. the choice is yours, look in to the legalities of it all and make your choice. i will not be held responsible for your own decisions.if you cannot find an exact domain match then stop right now and go back to looking for anothe

16、r product.2) now if you do have an exact domain match its time to scope out the difficulty of the top 10 on google. here is what i experienced for my kw:as you can see i got pretty lucky and the front page is full of pr n/a and pr 0. this would be a very easy kw to rank for. as rule of thumb if you

17、see 3 pr n/as or 3 pr 0s in the top 10 then its a very easy kw to rank for.3) ok so we have the domain and light competiton. now its time to see if people are actually looking for this product on google. head over to and type in your product.  make sure to put it on exact because that narrows i

18、t down to people who typed in the given keyword exactly as is.4) if its getting less then 2000 searches a month then its not worth doing. head back to the drawing board. in my case it had the right number.5) now that you have met all the seo requirements its time to get this site up and running.step

19、 3: contentnow that youve chosen what you want to do its time to put up at least 4 pages of content + an about us, contact us and privacy policy page. assuming your using wordpress, make sure to write your content as a page and not a post so the site can look more a cms site rather then a blog (more

20、 on this in step4)if you have no idea on how to write a privacy policy simply use this generator: as for about us and contact us.thats common sense. you fill in the blanks.now your probably asking yourself how the hell do i write 4 pages of content on 1 super specific product?well its not as hard as

21、 you think.1) the home page- include a product description, features and other details. go to amazon or the manufacturers site for this type of information. do not copy & paste. rewrite it and add you own spin to it2)reviews- head over to google and search for reviews on your given product, read

22、 them and then write your own detailed and helpful review on the product.3)comparison- compare the product you chose to another product. you can compare it to a competitors product or how this model of the product is better then the last.4)uses and resources- for this page you could talk about the u

23、ses of your given product, offer tips, how to take care of it, how to clean it, etc.you would be surprised how much you can write about each of the pages above.step 4: on site seo optimizationat this point your content should be done and now its time to optimize the site. we want to make the site as

24、 search engine  friendly as possible.1) head over to the plug ins section and type in “platinum seo” or “all in one seo pack”.  these free and useful plug ins will take care of the onsite basics for us. for example:home title- weber 6507 rolling carthome description- get the best deals, re

26、ever your home page is as the front page. this will take away the whole blog look from wordpress.3) go through all your pages and edit the permalinks. make them as simple as possible. take out any dashes and such.4) i also quickly take care of the general settings even though its not that important.

27、step 5: design and affiliate link ctr optimizationits funny because the last thing i really do is worry about the layout and making the site look pretty. we are here to make money and not win design contests. we are building our site as simple as possible to make sure our visitors focus on clicking

28、on our amazon affiliate link.1) go to the apperance section and choose free theme. id try to pick a theme thats as simple as possible.2) next comes the affiliate link placement. it is a bit difficult to describe so i will show you a picture below.you might be asking yourself why should i put the aff

29、iliate links in those certain spots?the main reason for this is because as soon as  they come to our site they will be exposed to our links right away. as you can see the affiliate links slickly take up a majority of the top fold of the page.also:1) seeing a big picture as soon as they enter th

30、e site assures them that they are in the right place. it will reduce your bounce % a bit. also a lot of people are used to clicking on pictures for navigation purposes so we put our link into the picture to take advantage of this little habit people have.2) the link below the picture is in case some

31、one does not think the picture itself is click able. the picture + link assures them it will take them where they want. when i made the picture example above i realized i should of made that link blue. people are so used clicking on stuff that looks like this that it almost feels like it prompts a c

32、lick.3) the amazon banner ad on the right is optional. for me personally the fact it has the famous logo in conjunction with “patio and garden markdowns” seems to convince people to want to click to see the kind of deals they will be getting.step 6: the final stepsat this point we have the site up a

33、nd running. we have done the content, design and seo optimization.the next step we need to take is to get indexed by the search engines. i wont go through indexing in this guide because i have already covered it in this post. you will also build a couple of backlinks just by trying to get indexed.now
