科羅拉多大峽谷位于美國亞利桑那州西北部科羅拉多河中游、科羅拉多高原的西南部，是地球上最為壯麗的景色之一，有人說，在太空唯一可用肉眼看到的自然景觀就是科羅拉多大峽谷。大峽谷全長446公里,平均寬度16公里,最大深度2公里,平均谷深1.6公里,總面積2724平方公里.由于科羅拉多河穿流其中,故又名科羅拉多大峽谷，它是聯(lián)合國教科文組織選為受保護的天然遺產(chǎn)之一.
