在復(fù)合句中，由一個句子充當(dāng)賓語，這個句子叫做賓語從句。

that引導(dǎo)的賓語從句

當(dāng)謂語動詞表示肯定的概念，如“希望、相信、知道、說”時，其后面的句子一般用that引導(dǎo)。that沒有任何詞匯含義，只有語法功能，目的是使讀者清楚后面的句子是賓語從句。多數(shù)情況下that可以省略。

句中有兩個或兩個以上由that引導(dǎo)的賓語從句，只有第一個that可以省略

當(dāng)it用作形式賓語代替that引導(dǎo)的賓語從句時

if/whether引導(dǎo)的賓語從句

(1)由whether/if引導(dǎo)的賓語從句，實際上是由一般疑問句演變而來的。常用來表達(dá)不確定的概念，可以翻譯為“是否”賓語從句用陳述句語序（主語+謂語+其他成分）。

我不知道穿紅衣服那個女孩是否是Jenny。

(2)if或whether引導(dǎo)賓語從句時，作“是否”講，一般情況下，兩者?？蓳Q用。

在whether…ornot的固定搭配中

賓語從句的時態(tài)取決于主句的時態(tài)

主句使用現(xiàn)在時，從句可根據(jù)語境確定需要的時態(tài)；主句使用一般過去時，從句除表示“真理”可使用現(xiàn)在時態(tài)外，其余相應(yīng)地使用過去的某種時態(tài)。
