定語從句

關(guān)系副詞when,where,why的用法引導(dǎo)定語從句的關(guān)系副詞有when,where,why

等。它們和關(guān)系代詞一樣放在先行詞的后面起引導(dǎo)作用，同時(shí)在定語從句中分別充當(dāng)時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)和原因狀語。

1).when指時(shí)間，在定語從句中作時(shí)間狀語。如：

Canyoustillrememberthateveningwhenwemetforthefirsttime?

2).where指地點(diǎn),在定語從句中作地點(diǎn)狀語。如：

CanyoushowmethehousewhereShakespearelived?

3).why指原因,在定語從句中作原因狀語。如：

Idon’tknowthereasonwhyhedidn’ttellittohisfather.

1).when指時(shí)間，用于修飾表示時(shí)間概念的先行詞：time,moment,day,season,year...作時(shí)間狀語。如：Canyoustillrememberthateveningwhenwemetforthefirsttime?

I'llneverforgetthedaywhenIfirstmetyou.2).where指地點(diǎn),用于修飾表示地點(diǎn)概念的先行詞:place,house,city,country,world...作地點(diǎn)狀語。如：CanyoushowmethehousewhereShakespearelived?IwenttohavealookattheroomwhereIwastolivein.

where定語從句修飾抽象名詞的用法:

point(地步),case(情況),activity(活動),situation(處境),position(境地)Youreachapointwheremedicinecan‘thelp.

注意:不要一見到先行詞為時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、原因等，就用關(guān)系副詞when,where,why等，還要看它們在定語從句中充當(dāng)什么成分。關(guān)系副詞在定語從句中通常只能作狀語，所以若定語從句缺主語或賓語，則不能選用關(guān)系副詞，而要用關(guān)系代詞，即使其前的先行詞是時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、原因等。如：換句話說，要求分析從句的謂語動詞和先行詞之間構(gòu)成_________還是___________。例如：
