cprocess.PERIOSTEALREACTIONWhentheperiosteumisstimulated,theosteoblastsinitsinnerlayerproliferateandproducethebone.CodmanTriangleComplexHaironendSingleLamellaMultipleLamellaeSunburstPERIOSTEALREACTIONRadiographicManifestations:periostealnewboneformationCALCIFICATIONINBONEANDCARTILAGEPrimarychondrogenictumormaypresentcalcificationintumor.FemoraNECROSISOFBONEItisthebonewhichitsmetabolismisstopped.FemoraCHANGESOFTHESURROUNDINGSOFTTISSUESPlainfilmcandemonstratethemuscle,planesandsubcutaneousfat.Intheconditionoftraumaandinfection,theradiologicfindingsaresurroundingsoft-tissueswelling,thedensitybecomehigher,thedisplacementofthedeepmuscleplane.CHANGESOFTHESURROUNDINGSOFTTISSUESIntheconditionoftumorandtumor-likelesions,theradiologicfindingsaresoft-tissuemass,displacementofofthedeepmuscleplane.CT CTandMRimagingdemonstratetheextentoftheactive
infectionanditscomplicationsTUBERCULOSISOFTHEBONETuberculousinvolvementoftheshort,tubularbonesofthehands
andfeetistermedtuberculousdactylitis.Thisformoftuberculosis
isespeciallyfrequentinchildren.TUBERCULOSISOFTHEBONETuberculousosteomyelitiscanbemimickedbypyogenicorfungal
infections.Ahelpfulfeatureindistinguishingtuberculous
frompyogenicinfectionisthattransphysealspreadoccursin
