controlleddownwardmovement.Whentheythenexperiencedrapideyemovement(REM)sleep,thesealsfellintoa
turningpattern.Then,atthedeepestpointoftheirsleepingdive-upto377metersdeep-theywakeupandswim
backtothesurface.
