Interventionsdoseemtoimprovecrossingsuccess.InMeir'smostrecentstudy,twodozenseven-to

nine-year-oldsreceive40minutesofdanger-detectiontraining.Afterwards,Meircomparedtrainees*andcontrolkids*

performancesinthevirtualroad-crossingtask.Thechildrenwhoreceivedsafetyinstructionsweresignificantlybetter

atcrossingthanthecontrolsubjects-tothepointthattheircrossingskillsresembledthoseofadults.
