themselves.Inadditions,thisisthefirsttime
they'vehadtomakedecisionsontheirown.Making
thesedecisionsincreasestheirknowledgeof
themselves.
Besideslookingforself-knowledge,peoplealso
attendauniversityorcollegetoexpandtheir
knowledgeinsubjectstheyfindinteresting.Formany,
thiswillbetheirlastchanceforalongtimetolearn
aboutsomethingthatdoesn,trelatetotheircareer.
Iwouldrecommendthatpeoplenotbesofocusedon
acareer.Theyshouldgotocollegetohavenew
experiencesandlearnaboutthemselvesandtheworld
theylivein.

children'sintereststobesimilartotheirown.They
cantseemtoseparatefromtheirchildrenintheirmind.
Iftheylovescience,theymaytrytoforcetheirchild

isart,orwriting,orcarrepair?

ofdifferentfoodsinourhomes.Sincetechnologymakes
cookingsomuchfaster,peoplearewillingtomake
severaldishesforevenasmallmeal.Parentsaremore
likelytoletchildrenbepicky,nowthattheycan

fruitandicefromthefreezer,addingsomelow-fat
yogurtfromaplasticcupandsomejuicefromacanin
therefrigerator,andwhippingupalow-fatsmoothie

Ourlifestyleisfast,butpeoplestilllikegood

Noonecanteachushowtogetalongwithothersorhow
tohaveself-respect.Aswegrowfromchildreninto
teenagers,noonecanteachushowtodealwithpeer
pressure.Asweleaveadolescencebehindandenter
adultlife,noonecanteachushowtofallinloveand
getmarried.
Thisshouldn'tstopusfromlookingforguidelines
alongtheway.Teachersandparentsarevaluable
sourcesofadvicewhenwe'reyoung.Asweenterinto
newstagesinourlives,theadvicewereceivefromthem
isveryhelpfulbecausetheyhavealreadybadsimilar
experiences.Butexperiencingourowntriumphsand
disastersisreallytheonlywaytolearnhowtodeal
withlife.
