FAW-VolkswagenAutomotiveCo.,Ltd(willbereferredtoasFAW-VW)wasestablishedonFebruary6th,1991,alargepassengervehiclemanufacturingcompanyunderthejointoperationofCHINAFAWGROUPCO.,LTD.(60%share),VOLKSWAGENAG(25%share),AudiAG(5%share)andVOLKSWAGENCHINAInvestmentCompany(10%share),andChina’sfirstmodernpassengervehiclemanufacturingcompanyestablishedaccordingtothescaleofChina’seconomy.ThecompanycurrentlyhasthreebrandsofVW,AudiandJetta,withproductscoveringthevolumemarketandpremiummarket.
FAW-VWcontinuouslyimprovesitstechnologicalandR&Dcapacityduringitsrapiddevelopment.Today,thecompanyownscutting-
edgeR&Dandtestingfacilitiesincludingautotestingfield,newtechnologydevelopmentcenter,NewEnergyCenter,engineandacousticlaboratory,etc.ThosefacilitiesgrantsFAW-VWthewholeprocesstestingcapacityfrompartstoengine,andfurtherconsolidatethefutureadvantageofFAW-VWintechnologicalinnovation.
Currently,FAW-VWcarriesoutwin-wincooperationwithover2400Tier1suppliers,togetherbuildinganoutstandingsupplychainsystem.Italsojoinshandswithover1700dealerstoprovidemoreefficientautoserviceofhigherqualitytothevastconsumergroup.

ForFAW-VW,theyear2022wasayearofUnitedand2023ayearofGoForwardwithDetermination.Reflectinguponthepasttwoyears,FAW-VWhaschartedaremarkablepath.
Underthemultiplechallengesofresurgingpandemic,supplychainshortage,powersupplylimitduetohightemperature,andsuddennaturaldisasters,FAW-VWhasactivelydemonstratedasenseofresponsibilitycommensuratewithitspositionasaleaderintheautoindustry,andrealizedrapidproductionandoperationrecoveryandstabledevelopmentrelyingonitsstrongsystematiccapacity.Adheringtothecustomer-orientedapproach,wecontinuedtopursueinnovationtogetherwithourupstreamanddownstreampartnersincludingdealersandsupplierstorealizewin-wincooperationandprogresswhilemaintainingstability.Embracingopportunitiesoftransformation,wefurtheracceleratedthedigitalizationtransformationofthewholesystem,significantlyimprovingefficiency,reducingmanagementcost,andrealizinginnovation-leddevelopment.Withthecommoneffortsofallcolleagues,thewholebrandhasfaceddifficultieswithrelentlessspirit,andrealizedanaccumulatednewcarsalesof1,823,577units(includingAudiFBU),thereofVWbrand1,041,077units,Audibrand635,588units(includingFBU),andJettabrand146,912units,demonstratingthestrongresilienceandcapacityofthebrand.
In2023,withconcertedandconcreteefforts,FAW-VWachieveditsmilestoneof27Mio.accumulatedproductionwithonly32yearsand10months.Adheringtogreenandlowcarbondevelopment,wepromotedtheuseofcleanenergyincludingphotovoltaicpower,hydropowerandwindpowerinourfivebases,enhancedgreendevelopmentandgreenmanagementofthewholeindustrialchain,andrealizedcoordinatedcarbonreductionof251,700tons.WealsoworkedwithChinaAutomotiveTechnology&ResearchCenterCo.Ltd(CATARC)toissuethefirstwholeproductlifecyclecarbonfootprintreport,usheringinthebeginningofthecarbonaccountingofFAW-VW.In2023,westrivedtomakebreakthroughinNEV,independentlycompletedtheintelligenceupgradeofthecarengine,andadopteditfirstintheID.7VIZZIONmodel.Wealsocontinuedtoenrichourproducts,tooktheinitiativetodevelopbrandnewelectricmodels,andobtainedtheexportauthorizationforJettabrand.Relentlesslydeepeningdigitalizationtransformation,wesuccessfullyrolledout58projectsincludingproductionandsalesintegration,darkfactory,andintelligentstorageandlogistics.Asaresult,weimprovedproductionflexibility,shortenedorderdeliverycycle,reducedcorporationmanagementcost,andsatisfieduser’s
diversifieddemandwithbetterefficiency.In2023wholeyear,wedeliveredover1.91Mio.units(includingAudiFBU)toterminalusers,VWbrandaccumulatedterminalsales1,050,017units,Audibrand698,188units(includingFBU),Jettabrand162,000units.Allthreebrandsrealizedyear-on-yearsalesvolumeincrease.

FAW-VWactivelypracticescorporatesocialresponsibility,andcontinuestofocusongreenenvironmentalprotection,childrencare,disasterreliefandotherfields.Takingtheneedsofthepeopleasourguidanceandsocialresponsibilityasourownresponsibility,wecontinuetopracticesocialresponsibilityandcorporateaccountabilitywiththespiritofgreatlovewhileleadingthedevelopmentoftheautoindustrywithourownsounddevelopment.
Stickingtothedirectionofhighqualitydevelopment,FAW-VWacceleratedtransformationandupgrade,andcreated58digitalprojectsincludingproductionandsalesintegration,darkfactory,andintelligentwarehousingandlogistics.Asaresult,weachievedflexibleproductionupgrades,improvedmarketresponsespeed,shortenedtheorderdeliverycycle,furtherenrichedcustomizationoptions,andimprovedthecapacityofmeetingthemorediversifiedneedsofendusersmoreefficiently.Theseimprovementswonusthetrustandfavorablecommentsfromourcustomers,andalsolaidasolidfoundationforthesustainabledevelopmentofthecompany.
In2023,FAW-VWappliedfor23independentmanufacturingtechnologypatentsandownednumerousdomesticallypioneeredautomationprocesses,achievingthefirst"multifunctionalPVCrobotworkisland"inChina,andE-lane3astheindustry'sfirstintelligentwarehouseproject.Factoriesinallbaseshavefullyrealizedthedigitalintelligencetransformation,andfactoriesinChangchun,Qingdao,andTianjinbaseshavebeenawardedthetitleof"China'sbenchmarkintelligentfactoryintheautoindustry".Thenumericalcontrolrateandnetworkconnectionrateofkeyequipmenthavereached100%,andagroupofnationalleveldigitalizationtalentshavealsobeencultivated.Adheringtothe"goTOzero"environmentaldeclarationandthecleartargetofachievingcarbonneutralityby2060,FAW-VWusesenergy-savingandenvironmental-friendlymaterialsandgloballeadingprocessestoeffectivelycontrolwastewater,exhaustgasandcarbonemissions,andbuildsgreenandenvironmentalbenchmarkingfactories.Eachproductionbasehaswonanumberofnationalandregionalgreenandsustainabledevelopmentawardsandcertifications.FAW-VWacceleratedthelayoutofaseriesofcarbonreductionprojectsincludingphotovoltaic,windpower,etc.,andtheuseofcleanelectricityreached450millionKWH.Throughthe"GreenPartner"project,FAW-VWcollaboratedwithsuppliersanddealerpartnerstoreducecarbonemissionsby26,000tons,andworkedwithChinaAutoTechnology&ResearchCenterCo.Ltd(CATARC)toissuethefirstwholeproductlifecyclecarbonfootprintreport,usheringinthebeginningofthecarbonaccountingofFAW-VW.

Inthepastfiveyears,FAW-VWhasdonatedmorethan100millionyuan.InMarch2022,donated20millionyuanincashtoChangchunCityandJilinCityinJilinProvinceforepidemicpreventionandcontrol.InSeptember2022,5millionyuanwasdonatedtotheLudingearthquakedisasterareainSichuanProvincetosupportlocalearthquakerelief.InAugust2023,FAW-VW,togetherwithitsthreebrandsVW,AudiandJetta,donated20millionyuan(7millionyuanincashand13millionyuaninspecialfunds)totheBeijing,Tianjin,Hebei,HeilongjiangandJilinareaforfloodreliefandpost-disasterreconstruction.InDecember2023,FAW-VWdonated4millionyuantoGansuregiontosupportlocalearthquakereliefandpost-disasterreconstruction.
Throughouttheyears,whilefocusingonitsowndevelopment,FAW-VWhasalsomadecontinuouscontributiontothesocietyandfulfilleditsobligationasamajortaxpayer.Itpaid79.82billionRMBoftaxfrom2022to2023,anditsaccumulatedtaxpaymentreached685.1billionRMBbytheendof2023.FAW-VWactivelycarriesoutpovertyreliefthroughconsumption,andconstantlyexpandsthechannelsofassistance,purchasingover20Mio.worthofpovertyalleviationproductsfrompovertyalleviationareaseveryyear.Atthesametime,FAW-VWalsopromotestheprosperityanddevelopmentoftheupstreamanddownstreamindustrialchainandtheregionaleconomy,creatingnearly500,000positionsinupstreamanddownstream.Extensivelyrecruitingfreshgraduates,FAW-VWrecruitedmorethan600peoplein2022,andnearly500in2023,withover75%graduatesfromdomestic985universitiesandoverseastopuniversities,continuouslycultivatingoutstandingtalentsforChina’sautoindustry.
