[2024山西運城市康杰中學期末考試]There

has

been

a

bitter

argument

within

the

Australian

community

over

a

horse

on

the

Sydney

While

some

believe

the

Opera

is

Australia's

"biggest

and

should

be

used

for

economic

others

are

shocked

that

the

government

has

allowed

the

national

to

be

As

a

UNESCO

the

Sydney

is

an

important

Australian

building

recognized

all

over

the

world

and

one

of

the

country's

most

attractions.

In

the

past,

the

Opera

House

has

been

used

to

promote

a

handful

of

charities,

cultural

festivals,

etc.

However,

these

have

aimed

to

highlight

events

that

bring

advantage

to

ordinary

people,

not

a

brand.

Some

have

argued

that

promoting

brands

on

the

of

the

Opera

House

is

just

like

advertising

on

any

other

billboard

with

the

power

to

significantly

encourage

tourism

and

economic

growth.

While

this

may

be

true,

if

advertising

continues

to

happen,

the

Opera

House

could

risk

losing

its

reputation,

which

could

devalue(貶低)

the

landmark

and

actually

damage

its

tourism

appeal.

Although

landmarks

around

the

world

such

as

the

Eiffel

Tower

and

Moscow's

Red

Square

have

been

used

for

advertising,

they

have

also

caused

some

arguments

among

the

public.

For

instance,

a

major

fashion

brand

placed

a

giant

branded

suitcase

in

the

center

of

Moscow's

Red

Square;

however,

it

was

removed

shortly

afterwards

as

tourists

complained

it

was

so

big

that

it

blocked

views

of

major

landmark

sites.

The

advertisement

has

caused

arguments

among

the

public

and

finally

failed

to

leave

a

positive

impact.

So

what

will

advertising

on

the

Opera

House

look

like

to

international

tourists?

Will

they

be

amazed

and

drawn

to

a

wonderful

country,

or

will

they

see

advertising

as

something

reducing

the

cultural

value

of

a

national

symbol?

We

think

it's

clear

that

our

national

treasures

deserve

the

respect

and

admiration

that

come

with

them,

and

that

advertising

should

be

limited

to

important

causes,

not

campaigns

for

commercial

gain.【解題導語】

考查觀點態(tài)度。根據最后一段最后一句可知,作者認為,我們的國寶值得尊敬和欽佩,利用其做廣告應該僅限于重要的事業(yè),而不是為了商業(yè)利益。由此可推知,作者對文章開頭提到的商業(yè)行為(即在悉尼歌劇院進行商業(yè)活動宣傳)持反對意見。故選C項。favourable"贊同的";doubtful"懷疑的";opposed"反對的";objective"客觀的"。D(科技創(chuàng)新│新高考4年3考)[2024山西太原五中期末考試]Soda

says

Sanat

Kumar,

a

chemical

engineer

at

Columbia

University."Now

we've

up

of

it."

His

team

has

developed

a

process

that

allows

different

kinds

of

plastics

to

be

recycled

together.

Their

findings,

reported

recently

in

Nature,

could

give

many

items

that

end

up

in

landfills.

The

new

process

solves

the

problem

by

adding

chemicals

called

universal

dynamic

cross-linkers

to

the

mix.

Just

as

soap

brings

together

oil

and

water,

these

cross-linkers

form

covalent(共價的)

molecular

bonds

that

tie

the

diverse

monomers

together.

This

process

creates

materials

that

can

keep

certain

useful

properties

of

each

plastic,

such

as

keeping

oxygen

from

passing

through.

These

materials

can

then

be

melted

and

remade

again

and

again

because

the

cross-linkers

can

break

and

re-form

their

bonds.

The

researchers

hope

the

technique

could

eventually

help

repurpose(改變……的用途)

more

plastic

waste,

and

Kumar

says

the

process

consumes

less

energy

than

breaking

plastics

down

into

their

original

monomers

but

it's

not

yet

cheap

enough

to

be

widely

used

at

existing

recycling

facilities.

Still,

showing

that

it

works

could

lead

to

profitable

markets

for

less

expensive

recycled

plastics,

which

Kumar

says

would

be

one

way

to

help

recyclers

eventually

address

the

plastic

waste

crisis."The

plastic

problem

is

huge,"

he

says,

"and

you're

going

to

have

to

look

for

multiple

solutions."【解題導語】哥倫比亞大學的化學工程師Sanat
