文從小說中的“死亡 主題入手，對(duì)該小說的主題與創(chuàng)作進(jìn)行解讀。 雖然以往的研究對(duì)白噪音中的“死亡 主題有所涉及，卻很少將小說中 著重展現(xiàn)的人物死亡恐懼感置于當(dāng)代社會(huì)語境之下進(jìn)行分析。本文結(jié)合小說中反 映的當(dāng)代社會(huì)背景，探討人物普遍被死亡恐懼所困擾的原因、緩沖死亡恐懼感的 方式及結(jié)局，力求更好地把握小說的思想內(nèi)容和藝術(shù)特色。本文認(rèn)為：唐德里 羅在這本小說中展現(xiàn)的“死亡”主題實(shí)際上是對(duì)當(dāng)代社會(huì)中人們生存困境的一種 深入思考。作者向讀者展現(xiàn)了當(dāng)代人一種無奈的生存狀態(tài)：一方面，人們始終生 活在深植于當(dāng)代社會(huì)的對(duì)死亡的恐懼感陰影之下；另一方面，面對(duì)傳統(tǒng)宗教觀念 日漸衰微的社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)，人們?cè)谄髨D借助大眾傳媒、消費(fèi)主義和科技得以暫時(shí)緩沖 對(duì)死亡的恐懼感的同時(shí)，遭遇的卻是真實(shí)自我的淪喪和精神的空虛，他們無力對(duì)
