1、nobel prize controversies1. controversy: disagreement, typically when prolonged, public, and heated尤指長期、公開或激烈的)爭論;爭執(zhí);爭吵;爭議a fierce controversy has broken out over the issue. 關(guān)于這件事已爆發(fā)了一場爭論。arouse, cause, create, provoke, spark (off), stir up引起爭論;挑起辯論what they are doing is bound to stir up controversy
