The following example shows the malfunction diagnosis process on the electrical gearbox control using a wiring diagram. The manufacturers instructions must be observed during malfunction diagnosis.(B1-driving speed sen

6、sor, B2-gearbox input-speed sensor, X92-diagnosis connection, X34-ECU plug, gearbox control, S3-multifuction switch, A35-solenoid valves) Diagnostic Procedure Fault code 010C: Pressure-regulator solenoid valve, short circuit to earth/open circuit. 1. Read out fault memory The fault code indicates a

7、fault on the component or on the cables between the component and the ECU. 2. Disconnect ECU plug from ECU Checking of components and cables between the component and the ECU is often performed in the form of a resistance measurement. The plug must be detached from the ECU for this purpose. Warning:

8、 Turn off ignition beforehand! In the circuit diagram the detached plug is indicated by the interrupted cables to the ECU. 3. Determine test points The test points for the resistance measurement in the ECU plug must then be determined using the circuit diagram.Here: Measurement of the conductor and

9、coil resistance between contact numbers 22 and 58 with an ohmmeter (see Figure 8-11 and Figure 8-12). When using a test box, bear in mind that the contact numbers of the plug generally correspond to the contact numbers of the test box (see Figure 8-13). Important: Follow manufacturers instructions.

Reference/actual-value comparison(Figure 8-14) If the manufacturers specified reference value is not achieved, a cable fault must be ruled out by way of a resistance measurement of the cable between the component and the ECU. If the resistance value of the cable and the cable contacts are OK, the
