3、hereader'sbackgroundknowledgeandthetext(CarrelandEisterhold,1983),orbetweenthenewinformationandtheoldknowledgestore(AndersonandPearson,1984).Soinordertoimprovethestudents'readingspeedandreadingcomprehension,languageteachersshouldtrytoactivatetheSs'oldknowledgestoreandaddmorerelevantbackg
4、roundknowledgebeforetheygetthestudentstoread.Accordingtothetop-downmodel,generalideaofthetextwillbegotfirst,andthencomethedetails.II. UnderstandingoftheteachingmaterialMyunderstandingoftheteachingmaterialincludes3parts:thestatusandthefunction,teachingobjectives,theimportantanddifficultpoints.Atthebe
