My topic is “What does he look like?” take from book 1, Unit 9 section B of go for it.I divided it into six parts to talk about. They are Analysis of the t

2、eaching materials, Teaching aims, Key points and difficult points, the teaching methods, Study method and the teaching procedures. Teaching material analysisThis is an important lesson in this unit .In this lesson , the students will learn some new words and phrases such as people s height、 build 、

3、hair and so on. If they learn this lesson well, they can describe a person freely. It can help students to judge different people. Ill mainly train students listening, speaking and writingTeaching aims1. Aims to the knowledge:(1)Learn the new words and expressions in this section(2)Learn how to desc

4、ribe people s looks2. Aims of ability(1) Develop the students ability of speaking and writing(2) Train their ability of communication3. Aims of emotionMake the students describe various people to improve the friendshipKey points and difficult points1. The students should know how to use “be” and “ h

5、ave” correctly2. Use these words and phrases to describepeople s looksThe teaching methodsThis section is close to our daily life. In order to make the class lively and the students can learn it easily, so I decide to choose “ Tas-kbased ” teaching methoGd.ive the situation to the student, finish a

6、task by making a survey to help the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structures. And in this lesson communication method、 scene method and CAI will be needed.Study methodThe students who sit at the same table and groups can make a discussion and learn each other. It makes each student rel

7、ax. They needn t worry about making mistakes. It can arouse students to think and say what they want to say. Study becomes more relaxed in this kind of environment.The teaching proceduresStep 1. Revision and warming-up ( 5 minutes)In this step, I ll show them three pictures : Yao Ming, Liu Dehua and

8、 Pan Changjiang. Ill tell them like this : This is Yao Ming. He is tall. This is Pan Changjiang. He is short. And this is Liu Dehua .He is of medium height. When they know the words well, I will let them review some expressions. Finally, match the words with the pictures. (purpose of designing: I th

9、ink it ims portant to form a better English surrounding for the students and it s necessary to providesituation to review learned knowledge.)Step 2.Presentation (10 minutes)1. Look at the pictures and ask the students:What does he looklike?First, I ll help them answer: He s short and he has very sho

10、rt hair.What does she look like? She is of medium build and she has long, brown hair.Next, I ll let them talk about other pictures.2. I mlal ke a conversation with students.(purpose of designing : I use the CAI to show many pictures, I think it can make the students grasp the words and expressions m

11、uch easier.)Step 3.Listening (5 minutes)You will hear talking about the photo of Jack.1. Your job is to write Jack s looks.2. 16、 cute and funny.3. Task: Four students in a group, you can bring a picture of your friend, and describe the picture in your group. Then choose the best one and come here to show your work.4.
