2、re(在.之前); after(在之后); since, ever since(自以來); once(一旦); whenever(任何時候); every time, each time(每次).1時間狀語從句 = 1 * GB2 when 的用法 = 1 * GB3 When 引導的時間狀語從句的謂語動詞可以是延續(xù)性的,也可以是非延續(xù)性的,既可以是從句動作與主句動作同時發(fā)生,也可表示從句的動作先與主句動作發(fā)生。When he reached home, it was getting dark. (主從句動作同時發(fā)生)I shall tell her the good news when sh

(從句動作先于主句動作發(fā)生) = 2 * GB3 當 when 引導的從句謂語動詞是延續(xù)性的,when 類似于 while.When (while) he was crossing the road, he was knocked down by a passing car. = 3 * GB3 when 還可以做并列連詞,表一個動作即將或正在進行的時候,突然發(fā)生了另外一件事。其意義為“那時”“這時”,相當于 at this that timeWe were having a meeting when someone broke into.We were about to g
4、o out, when it suddenly began to rain. = 4 * GB3 when 還可表原因“既然”It was foolish of you to take a bus when you could easily walk there in five minutes. = 2 * GB2 while的用法 = 1 * GB3 while 引導的從句謂語動詞為延續(xù)性的,表示“與同時”“在其間”從句常用進行時態(tài),強調(diào)某一時間內(nèi)主句和從句的動作同時發(fā)生。Someone knocked at the door, when (while) I was watching TV.

(6) before 和since 若表達“還未就; 不到就,才,趁,還沒來得急”時,需用連詞before. We h
9、ad sailed four days and four nights before we saw land . 我們航行了四天四夜才看到了陸地。 We hadnt run a mile before he felt tired. 我們跑了還不到一英里他就累了。 Please write it down before you forget it. 趁你現(xiàn)在還沒忘,請把記下來。 Before I could get in a word he had measured me .我還沒來得及插話,他就給我量了尺寸。 before 在從句中謂語動詞不用否定式。Before they reached t
10、he station, the train had gone.他們(還沒)到火車站以前,火車就開走了。It will be + 一段時間+ before 多久之后才。 It will be half a year before I come back. = 4 * GB3 在“It is + 一段時間 + since 從句”句型中,時間的計算一律從動作完成或狀態(tài)結(jié)束時開始。從句動詞是短暫性動詞按原意思翻譯,延續(xù)性動詞按相反的意思翻譯。It is three years since the war broke out.戰(zhàn)爭爆發(fā)以來三年了。 It is three years since he l
11、ived here.他離開這里三年了。Grammar: 省略狀語從句的省略在表示時間、地點、條件、方式、比較或讓步等的狀語從句中,如果謂語含有動詞be, 主語又和主句主語一致,或主語是it,那么從句中的主語和謂語的一部分往往可以省略。Eg. When walking along the river, she met a stranger.If heated to a high temperature, water will change to vapor.動詞不定式省略,只保留to的場合 1. 不定式作某些動詞的賓語時,常見動詞如like, love, care, hope, wish, ex
12、pect, afford, forget, prefer, refuse, mean, try, advice, persuade, agree, want, remember, manage等。 You can do it this way if you care to. -You should have thanked her before you left. -I mean to , but when I was leaving I couldnt find her anywhere.2. 作介詞but, except, besides的賓語時,前面有實義動詞do時,常省略不定式符號to

Tom had nothing to do besides answer betters this morning.3. 不定式作某些復合謂語時,常見結(jié)構(gòu)如be able to, be going to , have to, ought to, used to等。 He doesnt like fish but he used to. 注意:當省略的內(nèi)容是作動詞用的have或be的任何形式時,to 后面保留原形have或be.
