Fireside Chat: 爐邊談話是美國總統(tǒng)羅斯福利用群眾傳播手段進(jìn)展政治性公關(guān)活動的事例之一。20世紀(jì)30年代,美國經(jīng)濟處于大蕭條時期。羅斯福的前任總統(tǒng)胡佛,4年任期內(nèi)正碰上全球性經(jīng)濟危機,美國經(jīng)濟在短短幾個月內(nèi)幾乎崩潰,至1932年冬天,全國至少有1300萬人失業(yè),3400萬人沒有任何收入。人們依靠私人施舍、市和州政府少得可憐的公共救濟,以及自己微缺乏道的積蓄度日。為了求得美國人民對政府的支持,緩解蕭條,美國總統(tǒng)富蘭克林羅斯福利用爐邊談話節(jié)目通過收音機向美國人民進(jìn)展宣傳。他的談話不僅鼓舞了美國人民,堅決了人民的信心,而且也宣傳了他的貨幣及社會改革的根本主張,從而贏得了人們的理解和
