1)here,there,now,then,thus等副詞置于句首,謂語動詞常用be,come,go,lie,run。

Theregoesthebell.

Thencamethechairman.

Hereisyourletter.

Outrushedamissilefromunderthebomber.

Aheadsatanoldwoman.

Herehecomes.Awaytheywent.

1)句首為否定或半否定的詞語,如no,not,never,seldom,little,hardly,atnotime,innoway,notuntil...等。

NeverhaveIseensuchaperformance.

Nowherewillyoufindtheanswertothisquestion.

Notuntilthechildfellasleepdidthemotherleavetheroom.

Ihaveneverseensuchaperformance.

Themotherdidn'tleavetheroomuntilthechildfellasleep.

1)Whycan'tIsmokehere?

Atnotime___inthemeeting-room

A.issmokingpermittedB.smokingispermittedC.smokingisitpermittedD.doessmokingpermit

答案A. 這些否定詞包括no,little,hardly,seldom,never,notonly,notuntil等。

2)Notuntiltheearlyyearsofthe19thcentury___whatheatis.

A.mandidknowB.manknowC.didn'tmanknowD.didmanknow

Notonly...butalso,Hardly/Scarcely...when,Nosooner...than

Notonlydidherefusethegift,healsoseverelycriticizedthesender.

Hardlyhadshegoneoutwhenastudentcametovisither.

Nosoonerhadshegoneoutthanastudentcametovisither.

Nosooner___thanitbegantorainheavily.

A.thegamebeganB.hasthegamebegun

C.didthegamebeginD.hadthegamebegun

這類表示否定意義的詞有never,seldom,scarcely,little,few,not,hardly,以及notonly...but(also),nosooner...than,hardly...whenscarcely...when等等。

NotonlyyoubutalsoIamfondofmusic.

(2)so,neither,nor

TomcanspeakFrench.SocanJack.

Ifyouwon'tgo,neitherwillI.

---DoyouknowJimquarrelledwithhisbrother?

---Idon'tknow,_____.

A.nordon'tIcareB.nordoIcareC.Idon'tcareneitherD.Idon'tcarealso

TomaskedmetogotoplayfootballandsoIdid.

---It'sraininghard.---Soitis.

Onlyinthisway,canyoulearnEnglishwell.

Onlyafterbeingaskedthreetimesdidhecometothemeeting.

Onlywhenheisseriouslyill,doesheeverstayinbed

Tryhardashewill,heneverseemsabletodotheworksatisfactorily.

Sofrightenedwashethathedidnotdaretomoveaninch.

Mayyouallbehappy.

WereIyou,Iwouldtryitagain.

1)Notuntiltheearlyyearsofthe19thcentury___whatheatis

A.mandidknowB.manknewC.didn'tmanknowD.didmanknow

2)NotuntilIbegantowork___howmuchtimeIhadwasted.

A.didn'tIrealizeB.didIrealizeC.Ididn'trealizeD.Irealize

3)DoyouknowTomboughtanewcar?

Idon'tknow,___.

A.nordon'tIcareB.nordoIcare

C.Idon'tcareneitherD.Idon'tcarealso

Weretheyherenow,theycouldhelpus.

=Iftheywereherenow,theycouldhelpus.

Hadyoucomeearlier,youwouldhavemethim

=Ifyouhadcomeearlier,youwouldhavemethim.

Shoulditrain,thecropswouldbesaved.

=Wereittorain,thecropswouldbesaved.

IfIwereyou,Iwouldgotolookforhim.

Ifhewerehere,everythingwouldbeallright.

_____todothework,Ishoulddoitsomeotherday.

A.IfwereIB.IwereC.WereID.WasI

答案C.在虛擬條件狀語中如果有were,should,had這三個詞,通常將if省略,主語提前,變成were,should,had+主語的形式。

Itis(was)被強調(diào)部分+that(who)+句子其他部分。

Itisfromthesunthatwegetlightandheat.

ItwasnotuntilIhadreadyourletterthatIunderstoodthetruestateofaffairs.

1)Itwaslastnight___Iseethecomet.

A.thetimeB.whenC.thatD.which

答案C.強調(diào)句的結(jié)構(gòu)是:It+be+強調(diào)部分+that(who)+主謂句。

Myfatherdidtheexperimentinthelabyesterdayevening.

Itwasmyfatherwhodidtheexperimentinthelabyesterdayevening.

Itwastheexperimentthatmyfatherdidinthelabyesterdayevening.

Itwasinthelabthatmyfatherdidtheexperimentyesterdayevening.

2)Itistenyears___MissGreenreturnedtoCanada.

A.thatB.whenC.sinceD.as

本題易誤選為A.that.

Itis/was+時間+since...其中is<--->hasbeenwas<--->hadbeen.

一、副詞here,there,in,out,up,down,away,back,now,then,ahead等位于句首,當(dāng)謂語動詞是be,come,go,follow,run等表示位置移動的動詞,而且主語又是名詞時,需要把謂語動詞放主語之前,即全部倒裝。
