technicalsupportservicesonthecampus.

Weallliveoncampus,astheschoolrulessaythatnofreshmenshouldliveoffcampusduring

theweekdays,unlesstheuniversityauthoritiesgivepermission.Weprefertoeatinschool

cafeteriasbecausethereisavarietyoffoodsonthemenu,whichchangeseveryday.Besides,the

foodserviceismuchbetterthanthatofmostsecondaryschools.Foronething,ourcampus

cafeteriasareunderthemanagementofaprofessionalfoodservicecompanywithan

annually-renewablecontract.

BeinganEnglishmajor,wehavetospeakEnglishwithourfellowstudentsandEnglish

teachersmostofthetime.WeareexpectedtospeakEnglishwithallourEnglishteachers

whatevercoursestheyteach.We'realsoencouragedtospeakEnglishinthedormareaasmuchas

possible.Wearenotquiteusedtothis“Englishonly^^environment,though.Anyway,we'reall

tryingveryhard.Italwaystakesustimetoadjusttoanewenvironment.WearegivenEnglish

lecturesandtalkswhichcoveravarietyoftopics.Weareencouragedtoattendthefreediscussion
