dependuponpollinatorsandmostfruit-bearingspeciesneedanimalstodispersetheirseeds,itisobviousthatif

theseanimalpartnersareharmedbynoisethentheirbotanicalplantswilldobadly,too.Whathasremained

unknowniswhetherornotplantsthemselvessufferdirectlyfromnoisepollution.

Soundsarepressurewavestransmittedthroughgases,liquidsandsolids.Scientistshavepreviouslypredicted

thatplantsmaybeabletosensethesewavesastheyarestruckbythem.Anumberofexperimentshaveconfirmed
