倒裝

一.全部倒裝的用法

1.在以there,here開頭,謂語一般為be,come,go,exist等的句子中要全部倒裝。例如:

Theregoesthebell.

Herearesomeexamplesthatyoucanreferto.

Therearetwopensandapencilonthedesk.

2.表示位置移動(dòng)的副詞up,down,in,out,away,ahead,off等位于句首時(shí)。例如:

Outrushedaboy.

Upwenttheairplaneintotheair.

3.時(shí)間副詞then,now,thus等位于句首,謂語為be,come,go,seem,fbllow等時(shí)。例

如:

Nowcomesmyturntoanswerquestions.

Thenfollowedaheavyrain.

注:在以上三種情況中,如果句子的主語是人稱代詞,則句子不完全倒裝。例如:

Inhecame.

Awaytheywent.

4.句首為表示地點(diǎn)的介詞短語時(shí)。例如:

Onthewallhangtwopictures.

Onbothsidesofthestreetwererowsofhouses.

Inthecenterofthesquarestandsamonument.

二.部分倒裝的用法

1.用于以never,hardly,scarcely,nor,seldom,little,rarely,nowhere,not,atnotime,

bynomeans,notabit,notonce,notintheleast,innoway等否定副詞或短語開頭的句子中。

例如:

Notasingleworddidhesayatthemeeting.

Littledoesshehaveinterestinclothes.

2.含有否定意義的連接詞如notuntil...?notonly...butalsoneither...nor...?no

sooner...than...?hardly/scarcely...when…等置于句首時(shí)。例如:

NosoonerhadIleftthehousethanitbegantorain.

NotuntilrecentlydidIhaveanyideaofwhatmarketeconomyis.

3.當(dāng)only后接狀語(副詞、介詞短語、狀語從句)位于句首時(shí)常要倒裝。例如:

Onlyinmyhousedotheyfeelathome.

Onlywhenhismothercamebackdidhegotobed.

4.省略了if的虛擬條件句,以had/were/should開頭時(shí)須倒裝。例如:

Hadheworkedharder,hewouldhavegotthroughtheexams.

Shoulditraintomorrow,thematchwouldbeputoff.

5.在某些表示愿望的感嘆句中,要使用倒裝語序。例如:

Mayourcountrybecomerichandstrong!

Longliveourfriendship!

6.so(表示肯定),neither/nor/nomore(表示否定)置于句首,表示前面所說的情況也適

應(yīng)于后者時(shí),須用倒裝語序,常用于“so/neither7nol7nomore+助動(dòng)詞/情態(tài)動(dòng)詞+主語”

結(jié)構(gòu)。例如:

Theycanswimwell.Socanwe.

Ihavenomoneyonme.Nor/NeitherhaveI.

注意:當(dāng)so表示對(duì)前句內(nèi)容的肯定和附和,譯作“確實(shí)如此”時(shí),須用陳述語序。例如:

Anothercharacteristicofmygenerationisourparticipationinthe“marriagerevolution^^.We

werethefirstgenerationthathadaccesstosafeandreliablebirthcontrol.Theideaof"freelove”

madeiteasierformenandwomentosafelyexpresstheirlovebeforemarriage.Themarriage

revolutiongaveuspower,especiallytowomen,andtheworldwaschangedforever.

Themostimportantcharacteristic,however,isthatmanyofusaredeeplyconcernedaboutthe

environment.Theresultsofmygeneration'sactivitiescanbeseeneverywhere.

Althoughnotallofushaveparticipated,itissurethatwewillcontinuetohavealargeimpact

timetotelleachotheraboutwhathappenedtousthatday.Inaddition,wecouldmoreeasilyfind

moretimetotalkwitholdfriendsonthetelephone.Thus,socialtimewouldincreasewithoutTV.

Mostimportantly,lackingaTVwouldgivemeabigincreaseintheavailabletimeforexercise

inmylife.Withextratime,IcouldmakethelongjourneytoBowenIslandandgoonanenjoyable
