保定理工學院本科畢業(yè)論文中美家庭教育對比研究-以《虎媽戰(zhàn)歌》為例摘要本文以《虎媽戰(zhàn)歌》為研究案例,通過分析兩國家庭教育的歷史、文化、社會倫理和家庭關系,探討了兩種文化背景下家庭教育的異同點,并試圖解釋這些差異的原因。中美家庭教育的差異主要集中在家長的目標、教育方法和教育模式等方面。中國式教育更加強調成績和競爭、注重死記硬背和重復訓練、教育嚴苛、以傳統(tǒng)教育為主。而美國則以自主性為導向,注重培養(yǎng)孩子的興趣和創(chuàng)造力、更注重啟發(fā)式教學和情境教學、注重孩子的創(chuàng)造力和自主學習能力的培養(yǎng)、更具有自由和開放性。最后本文在中美家庭教育差異分析的基礎上,探究其原因主要集中在成功觀、人生觀、思維方式等這些方面,進一步認識兩國家庭教育的差異,更好的指導孩子的成長和發(fā)展,以滿足孩子的身心發(fā)展和社會融入的現(xiàn)實需求。關鍵詞:家庭教育;中美差異;對比分析;《虎媽戰(zhàn)歌》ABSTRACTUsingBattleHymnoftheTigerMotherasaresearchcase,thispaperexploresthesimilaritiesanddifferencesoffamilyeducationinthetwoculturesandtriestoexplainthereasonsforthesedifferencesbyanalyzingthehistory,culture,socialethicsandfamilyrelationshipsoffamilyeducationinthetwocountries.ThedifferencesbetweenChineseandAmericanfamilyeducationmainlyfocusonParentalgoalseducationalmethodsandeducationalmodels.Chineseeducationplacesmoreemphasisonachievementandcompetition,focusesonrotememorizationandrepetitivetraining,isharsh,andisdominatedbytraditionaleducation.Incontrast,Americaneducationisautonomy-oriented,focusesoncultivatingchildren'sinterestsandcreativity,placesmoreemphasisonheuristicteachingandcontextualteaching,focusesonchildren'screativityandindependentlearningability,andismorefreeandopen.Finally,basedontheanalysisofthedifferencesbetweenfamilyeducationinChinaandtheUnitedStates,thispaperexploresthereasonsforthesedifferences,whichmainlyfocusontheconceptofsuccess,outlookonlifeandwayofthinking,tofurtherunderstandthedifferencesbetweenfamilyeducationinthetwocountriesandtobetterguidethegrowthanddevelopmentofchildreninordertomeettherealneedsofchildren'sphysicalandmentaldevelopmentandsocialintegration.Keywords:Familyeducation;ChineseandAmericandifferences;comparativeanalysis;BattleHymnoftheTigerMotherTableofContentsChapterOneIntroduction 22ChapterOneIntroduction1.1TheMeaningofFamilyEducationFamilyeducationisthefoundationandstartingpointofeducation,thefirstplacewherechildrenareeducatedandexposedtosociety,andhasadecisiveinfluenceonthegrowthanddevelopmentofchildren.Infamilyeducation,parentsplayanimportantrole,notonlyastheguideofchildren'slifeandlearning,butalsoastheirrolemodelsandfriends.Qualityfamilyeducationcancultivatechildren'smoral,intellectual,physicalandaestheticqualities,makingthemmoral,knowledgeableandcapable,aswellasmakingthemmorestudious,confident,strongandabletocopewithfuturechallengesinastrongwayRemember.Familyeducation,atopicofuniversalconcernformostChinesefamilies,hasreachedanunprecedentedlevel.Itshapeschildren'spersonalitiesandhasalifelongimpactonthem.However,atthesametime,manyproblemshaveemergedregardinghomeschooling.Therefore,modernsocietyneedstopayattentiontofamilyeducation,strengthentheresearchandpromotionoffamilyeducation,andprovidebettersupportandguaranteeforthegrowthofchildrenandthedevelopmentofsociety.1.2OverviewofBattleHymnoftheTigerMotherBattleHymnoftheTigerMother,writtenbyAmyChua,isa2011best-sellingbookonhomeschoolinginAmerica.AmyChuaisofChinesedescentandismarriedtoaJewishhusband-JedRubenfeld.TheyarebothprofessorsatYaleLawSchool.InTigerMother,AmyChuasharesherparentingexperienceasatypicalChinese-Americanmotheranddescribeshereffortstoraiseherchildren.Shesharesherparentingexperiencesanddescribeshereffortstogivehertwodaughters,SophiaandLulu,thebestshecan.InherAmericanfamily,shestrivestoprovidewhatshecallsatraditional,strict"Chinese"upbringingforhertwodaughters.InBattleHymnoftheTigerMother,TigerMotherisaneducatedandordinaryhousewifewhohastwochildren,asonandadaughter,studyingindifferentschoolsatthesametime;shehasanenthusiastichusbandandtogethertheysticktoTigerMom'seducationalphilosophyintheirlivesandurgetheirchildrentostudycarefully.TigerMomalsohassomerelativesandfriendswithwhomsheoftenshareshereducationalphilosophyandcommunicateswitheachother.EachmemberofthefamilyworkshardforthedevelopmentofTigerMom'scareer,andtogethertheystrivetocreateapositiveandharmoniousfamilyenvironment.AmyTsaiisaChinese-AmericanmarriedtoaJewishhusband-JedRubenfeld.TheyarebothprofessorsatYaleLawSchool.InAmyChuasharesherparentingexperience,describingtheeffortsshemadetogivehertwodaughters,SophiaandLily.Hertwodaughters,SophiaandLulu,weredescribedbyherastraditional,strictChineseupbringinginanAmericanhomeandtheremarkableresultsofherchoices.NotonlydidhertwodaughtersachievestraightAsintheirstudies,buttheywerealsohailedasmusicalmarvels.Sophiaperformedattheworld'smusichall,CarnegieHall.whenshewasonly14yearsold.LouisabecametheprincipaloftheYaleUniversityYouthOrchestraattheageof12.ThisbookrevealsthattheChinesehaveacompletelydifferentideaofhowtoraisetheirchildrenthantheWest.Bornin1962inChampaign,IllinoisandmovedtoBerkeley,Californiawhenshewaseightyearsold,MeierTsaigraduatedfromHarvardUniversitywithhonorsin1984andgraduatedwithhonorsfromHarvardLawSchoolin1987,whereshewaseditor-in-chiefoftheHarvardLawReview.MeierTsai'sancestorswerefromFujian,China,andtraveledbyshiptothePhilippinesaroundthe1920sand1930sinsearchofmoreopportunities.MeierTsai'sgrandmotherwassmartandcapable,andmadeafortunetradinginplasticproductsafterWorldWarII,mainlyproducingplasticcontainersforJohnson&Johnson.Thefamilybecamewealthyfromthenon.HewasaprofessorofelectricalengineeringattheUniversityofCalifornia.Mei-erTsaiistheeldestoffoursistersinthefamily,ofwhichthesecondsister.Mei-wenTsai,receivedherB.A.,M.A.andPh.D.fromHarvardUniversityandteachesatStanfordUniversity.A-minusgradeswasunthinkableforthem.Ineighthgrade,MeierTsaiwonsecondplaceinthehistorycontestandbroughtherfamilytotheawardceremony.awardsceremony.OtherswontheKiwanisawardforbestall-aroundstudent.Afterwards,herfathersaidtoher.Never,everembarrassmelikethataga.ChapterTwoSimilaritiesbetweenChineseandAmericanFamilyEducationinBattleHymnoftheTigerMother2.1SimilarityincontentofFamilyEducationChinaandtheUnitedStatesalsohavemuchincommonwhenitcomestovariousaspectsoffamilyeducation.First,bothChineseandAmericanfamiliesbelievethattheeducationoftheirparentsisvitaltotheirchildren.InChinesefamilies,childrenareexpectedtofollowtheirparents'teachingstoshowrespectandthusreceivefutureprosperityandhappiness.InAmericanfamilies,parentssimilarlyexpecttheirchildrentomakepositiveeffortstohelpthemsucceed.Inbothtypesoffamilies,childrenareexpectedtospendmoretimestudying,suchasattendingtutorialsandcompletinghomework,inordertoachievegoodresults.Inaddition,parentsinbothChinaandtheUnitedStatesdemonstrateahigherlevelofeducationalimportance.InChina,parentsprovidetheirchildrenwiththemostadvancededucationalconditions,suchasprivatetutoringandenrollmentinregularexams,inordertohelptheirchildrenexcel.IntheU.S.,parentsalsoinvestmoreenergyandmoneyinprovidingopportunitiestonurturetheirchildrensothattheyhavemoreopportunitiestoexcel.Finally,ChineseandAmericanfamiliesplacealotofemphasisondevelopingtheirchildren'scharactertraitstofostertherightvaluesandbehavioralnorms.InChina,parentspassontheirknowledgeofhistoryandculture,aswellastraditionalvaluesaboutfrugality,honesty,hardworkandrespectforparents.IntheUnitedStates,parentstrytocultivatepersonalitytraitssuchasresponsibility,politeness,andtoleranceintheirchildren.Insummary,familyeducationinChineseandAmericanfamiliessharesimilarcharacteristicstoacertainextent,includingtheemphasisonparents'responsibilityfortheirchildren'seducation,theinvestmentofmoreresourcesandenergyinnurturingtheirchildren,andthefocusondevelopingtheirchildren'spersonalitytraits.However,therearestillmanydifferencesintheapproachestotheimplementationofhomeeducation.Therefore,forhomeschooling,itispossibletosharemutualandabsorb2.1.1Love-centeredMoralEducationMoraleducationinbothcountrieshas"love"and"goodness"atitscore.Moralvaluesarethespiritualintellectualmotivationforhumanbehavior,andwhilethestoriesandtraditionsusedtoeducatechildrenarediverseacrossculturesandnatures,theconceptofmoralityisconsistentacrosscountriesaroundtheworld.InbothChineseandAmericanfamilies,moralityhasalwaysbeenakeypointofemphasisinhomeschoolingfamilyeducation.ChinesemoralityandAmericanmoralityemergefromdifferentculturalcontexts.Thereforetheypresentdifferentcolorsandmeanings.Themoralsaredifferent;however,"love"and"kindness"aretheircommoncore,reflectingthecommonvaluesofallhumanbeings.IntraditionalChineseculture,thefamilyisthemostbasicsocialunitforpeople;therefore,familyeducationplaysavitalroleinthegrowthanddevelopmentofchildren.ThesimilaritybetweenChineseandAmericanfamilyeducationisthatloveisoneofthemostimportantfactors.InbothChineseandAmericanfamilies,parentsmakelovethecornerstoneofraisingtheirchildren.Loveisnotonlyanemotion,butalsoaformofeducation.Loveisthesoulofhomeschoolingandisthekeytonurturingallaspectsofachild'spersonality.FamilyeducationinbothChinaandtheUnitedStatesfocusesonloveasthecore.Parentsshouldgivetheirchildrenfullloveandsupportastheygrowupandencouragethemtoexpresstheirthoughtsandemotionsfreely.Thefamilyshouldbeawarmandharmoniousplace,andparentsshouldsetanexamplebyinfluencingtheirchildrenwiththeirwordsandactionstohelpthemestablishtherightvaluesandoutlookonlife.FamilyeducationinbothChinaandtheUnitedStatesfocusesoncommunicationandexchangebetweenparentsandchildren.Parentsshouldrespecttheirchildren'swishesandchoicesandgivethemfullautonomyanddecision-makingpower.Parentsshouldestablishagoodtrustingrelationshipwiththeirchildrenandletthemgrowupinasafeandprotectiveenvironmentthroughcommunicationandexchange.Love-centeredChineseandAmericanfamilyeducationfocusesondevelopingchildren'scharacterandmorality.Loveisaselflessemotion,andparentsshouldusetheirownbehaviortoteachtheirchildrenhowtorespectothers,careforothers,andbehelpfultoothers.Infamilyeducation,parentsshouldmaketheirchildrenunderstandthatonlybytreatingpeoplewithlovecantheygetmoreloveandrespectforthemselves.Parentsshouldhelptheirchildrentoestablishthecorrectoutlookonlifeandvaluesduringthegrowthoftheirchildren,sothattheycanbecomearesponsibleandresponsibleperson.2.1.2ParentingandFamilyResponsibilityEducationFamilyresponsibilityeducationtakesprideinunityandmutualsupportamongfamilymembers.Nowadays,manyChinesepeopleoftencitestoriestoteachtheirchildrentheimportanceofsolidarityinordertosurviveandthrive.SimilarstoriescanbefoundinWesternfables.InAesop'sFables,thefarmerusesabundleofstickstoteachhischildrenthatbybeingunited,peoplecanconqueralltheirenemiesandovercomedifficulties.Otherwise,therewillbenothingbutdefeatbeforethem.InChina,selflessassistanceamongfamilymembersInChina,selflessassistanceamongfamilymemberscanbeillustratedasacommonphenomenon.Solidarityisstrongenoughforbrothersandsisterstohelpeachotherselflesslyandnotalienateeachother.Today,whileAmericanfamiliesplaceahighpriorityondevelopingchildren'sabilitytoliveindependently,theyalsoplaceahighpriorityonteachingfamilyresponsibilitybasedonmutualhelpandcare.Thiscanbeseeninlanguageandculturaleducation.TheimportanceoffamilyresponsibilityeducationisemphasizedinthefamilyeducationupbringinginbothChinaandtheUnitedStates.Cultivatingchildren'ssenseofresponsibility:FamilyeducationinbothChinaandtheUnitedStatesfocusesoncultivatingchildren'ssenseofresponsibility.Parentswillencouragetheirchildrentotakeonsomehouseholdoracademictaskstohelpthemrealizetheirresponsibilitiesandduties,thusenhancingtheirsenseofresponsibility.Fosteringindependence:BothChineseandAmericanhomeschoolersfocusonfosteringindependenceintheirchildren.Parentswilllettheirchildrendothingsontheirown,suchaswashingupandcookingbythemselves,tohelpthembuildtheirself-confidenceandindependentthinkingskillsanddeveloptheirself-managementabilities.Emphasisonthetransmissionoffamilyvalues:FamilyeducationinbothChinaandtheUnitedStatesfocusesonthetransmissionoffamilyvalues.Parentswillteachtheirchildrensomeimportantfamilyvalues,suchashonesty,respect,care,etc.,tohelptheirchildrenformacorrectoutlookonlifeandvalues.Developchildren'ssocialskills:FamilyeducationinboththeU.S.andChinafocusesondevelopingchildren'ssocialskills.Parentswillallowtheirchildrentoparticipateinvarioussocialactiviti
