Dr.NicolasLecomte,oneoftheleadresearchers,said:"Duetosignificantglobalchangesinanimalpopulations,there

isanurgentneedforautonomoustools,suchasacousticmonitoring,totrackshiftsinbiodiversity.However,theAlmodels

usedtoidentifyspeciesinacousticmonitoringlackcomprehensivereferencelibraries.^^WithECOGEN,youcanaddress

thisgapbycreatingnewinstancesofbirdsoundstosupportAImodels.

Theresearcherssaythatcreatingbirdsongsinthiswaycancontributetotheconservationofendangeredbirdspecies

andalsoprovidevaluableinsightintotheirvocalisations,behavioursandhabitatpreferences.TheECOGENtoolcanalsobe

usedtohelpconserveextremelyrarespecies.Forinstance,itcouldbeusedtohelpconservethecriticallyendangeredregent
