如果不定式與其修飾的動詞構成邏輯上的動賓關系，而該不定式為不及物動詞時，后面必須加上適當?shù)慕樵~，構成及物動詞短語。如：Doyouneedapentowritewith？你需要一支鋼筆來寫字嗎？Sheneededsomepapertowriteon.她需要一些紙來寫東西。?

?作狀語。不定式作狀語時充當副詞作用，修飾動詞或形容詞，常表示原因、目的、結果等。如：I’mgladtomeetyou.（表原因）跟你見面，我很高興。Hecametogiveusatalkyesterday.（表目的）他昨天過來給我們做了一次講座。Heistooyoungtogotoschool.（表結果）他年紀太小了，還不能去上學。

?疑問詞＋todo。不定式可與who，which，when，where，how，whether等連用，構成不定式短語，在句中可作主語、表語、賓語、賓語補足語等。如：Whentofinishthetaskisaquestion.（作主語）什么時候完成任務是一個問題。Themainproblemiswhethertoworkwiththem.（作表語）主要問題是是否該和他們合作。Ireallydon’tknowhowtodoit.（作賓語）我真不知道該怎么做。Hetolduswhichtochoose.（作賓補）他告訴我們該選哪個。?

情態(tài)動詞后的動詞，也是不帶to。如：must，should，can，may等。補充
