Inthisnewstudy,researchersscannedthebrainsof31volunteerswiththreedifferenttypesof
dementia.Thefirstscanwastohighlightneuroinflammation,andasecondscanilluminated(闡明)
poisonousproteinsthatarelinkedwithdementia.Theteamalsoexamined12post-mortem(after
death)brains.
Theseexperimentsshowedsimilarpatternsofpoisonousproteinbuild-upand
neuroinflammation,suggestingarelationshipbetweeninflammationanddementia.
