《英語語法》課程教學大綱一、課程名稱:英語語法EnglishGrammar二、課程編碼:11224010三、學時與學分:34學時/2學分四、考核方式:考試五、先修課程:基礎英語(1-3)六、適用學科專業(yè):英語專業(yè)七、課程總體教學目的學完本課程學生應該能夠:辨別和區(qū)分詞素、詞、詞組、分句和句子等五個語法層次。列出各封閉詞類(介詞、代詞、限定詞、連詞和助動詞等)和開放詞類(名詞、形容詞、副詞和主動詞等)并說明它們的功能。解釋不同名詞作主語的主謂一致問題以及不同分句和句子中的主謂一致問題。解釋主動詞、助動詞、及物動詞、雙及物動詞、不及物動詞和聯系動詞的功能;并說明動詞的各種時、態(tài)和體的作用。理解主動詞情態(tài)意義的表達法(可能、能力、允許和義務等);區(qū)分情態(tài)動詞的推測性和非推測性用法。識別和分析非限定動詞在句中的運用。識別和分析簡單句的成分、其轉換與擴大以及句子的種類。熟悉各種句子類型及運用。識別和分析復雜句的結構(從屬結構、關系分句等)。識別、解釋口語和書面語的主要差別。理解不同文體中語法的區(qū)別。識別英式英語和美式英語的主要語法差異。運用各種銜接手段(省略、替代、照應等)實現從句子到語段再到語篇的連貫性和邏輯性。八、總體教學要求:英語語法是英語專業(yè)的專業(yè)必修課,使用教材為章振邦編著的《新編英語語法教程》,由上海外語教育出版社出版。該課程幫助學生比較系統地了解分析英語語法的方法,使他們認識、了解英語口語和書面語的區(qū)別以及從詞到句再至語篇的構造。通過對各個語法層次,即詞素、詞、詞組、分句和句子的系統認識和分析,提高學生使用英語的規(guī)范性以及傳遞信息、表達思想的準確性和邏輯性。由于學生在中學階段已經了解、掌握了相當的語法知識,本課程不求面面俱到,而是有所側重。通過一學期的學習,本課程旨在進一步提高學生實際運用英語的能力,為后來的學習和研究英語語言、文學奠定基礎。講授之前對學生進行測試以便確定教學的重點,其他的由學生自己學習掌握,教師會通過練習檢測學生的學習情況。除了教材上的練習(課堂上做一部分;布置課后做一部分;其余學生自行處理),學生要完成的作業(yè)還包括課后的寫作、翻譯、課堂上的小組討論、相互改錯等活動,通過對語法知識的實際運用促進他們對英語語言結構的理解和掌握。所有課內、課外作業(yè)和小組活動的參與各占平時成績的一半比分。平時成績占總成績的30%。期末考試為筆試,除了對語法點的測試,著重考核學生對知識理解和運用,此類測試所占比例一般不少于50%。九、基本教學安排本課程開設一個學期,總學時為34學時,每周2個學時,安排在第4個學期。教學進度安排如下:Unit1:Introduction–GrammaticalHierarchyObjectivesDefineSentence,Clause,Phrase,WordandMorpheme.Segmentafullsentencerankbyrankdowntomorphemes.Distinguishdifferenttypesofsentences.GrammaticalhierarchyMorphemesWordsPhrasesClausesSentencesMainpoint:SentencetypesHomework:Writeajournalabouttwopages,doublespace.Topicfree.Unit2:SentenceStructureObjectivesIdentifydifferentclauseelementsinasentence.Identifydifferentclausetypes.Combinesimplesentencesintoasinglecompound,complexorcompound-complexsentence.SentencestructureClauseelementsBasicclausetypesandtheirtransformationandexpansionMainpoint:thecombinationofsentences.HomeworkExercise1C,p24-27.Readingassignment,p28-51onsubject-verbconcord.Unit3:Nouns,GenitiveNounsandPronounsObjectivesApplyabasicknowledgeofnouns,genitivenounsandpronouns.Identifymajortypesofnouns.Distinguishbetweentypesofpronoun.Nouns,GenitiveNounsandPronounsClassificationofnounsandfunctionofnounphrasesNumberformsofnounsPartitivesIndependentgenitiveanddoublegenitivePronounconcordandcaseformsTypesofpronounMainpoints:numberformsofnouns;pronounconcordandcaseformsHomework:Ex.4C,p67;Ex.5D,p81-82
