賓語(yǔ)從句是名詞性從句的一種,它在主句中作謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞、介詞、動(dòng)詞不定式或動(dòng)詞-ing形式的賓語(yǔ)。賓語(yǔ)從句本身的結(jié)構(gòu)是在引導(dǎo)詞后為陳述句語(yǔ)序。Grammar11(1)that引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句that本身沒有含義,只起連接作用,在從句中不作句子成分,在口語(yǔ)和非正式文體中常省去。如:
1.Theboydiscoveredthatitwaseasiertokeephistemperthantodrivenailsintothefence.2.Theboywasfinallyabletotell
hisfatherthatallthenailsweregone.11(2)whether或if引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句
whether和if均意為“是否......”,在大多數(shù)情況下可以互換使用,但whether可和ornot連用,if則不能。如:
1.we’dbetteraskMomwhetherit’scheapornot.
2.Iwanttoknowifyouarewillingtolendmeahand.QingdaoIndustry&TradeVocationalSchool11(3)由連接代詞引導(dǎo)的賓語(yǔ)從句可引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句的連接代詞有who,whom,what,whose,which,whatever,whoever,whichever等。它們本身都有相應(yīng)的含義,在從句中要作相應(yīng)的句子成分,但要注意其后不是疑問(wèn)句語(yǔ)序而是陳述句語(yǔ)序。如:
