Unit 7 Its raining. Second Period (Section B, 2a-2c) By ChilliTeaching Objectives:1. Knowledge objectives:(1) Students can master the meaning of these language points and be able to use them freely.l Summer school, relaxing, have a good time, isnt working, write to(2) Students are able to talk about the weather and the things they are doing recently with the sentences “ hows the weather?” and “ what are you doing?”.2. Ability objectives:(1) Students are able to talk about the weather and the things they are doing recently freely with the sentences of:l Hows the weather? Its sunny and warm. Its raining.l What are they doing? They are on an outing. They are taking mid-term examination. (2) Students can develop their reading skills.3. Emotional objectives: Students can develop their communication with family and others.Teaching procedures:Step 1 Warming-up (1) Daily greeting to the students(日常問(wèn)候) T: Hows the weather? Its sunny. What are you doing? We are having English class. (2) Share a video with them to let them tall more with these senteces. T: Whats the weather like in the video? Its sunny and warm.What are they doing in the video? They are on an outing.Now its spring, the weather is sunny and warm, just right for outing, isnt it? . But it is often raining in spring, so lets learn our text its raining. (3) Lead in the topic : Unit 7 Its raining.Step 2 Presentation (呈現(xiàn)新知識(shí)) 1. Pre-reading 1) Sentences reviewing Test by playing a game- Lucky turning (幸運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)盤) T: Hows the weather?/what are they doing? -Its raining. They are playing football. To consolidate the sentences learned before and lead-in the pictures in 2a.2) Listening (1) 2a Listen and match each postcard with the correct picture. (2) Check the answer and retell from which sentences we do the right answer.2. While-reading 1) Activity 1: Fast reading One minute to look through the postcards and answer the questions. Underline the information in the passage.Q1. Hows Su Lins vacation? -She is having a good time.Q2. Hows Su Lins feeling now? -She is relaxed.Q3. Why doesnt Dave call Jane? -Because his phone isnt working. 2) Activity 2: intensive reading Read the postcards carefully to get the detailed information, finish the chart of 2C, underline the information in the passage.NameWhere are they?Hows the weather?What are they doing?Su LinDave 3. Post-reading.Working in pairs. Jane is Dave and Su Lins mutual friend. Now consider you are Jane, tell Dave about Su Lins recent situation and tell Su Lin about Daves recent situation.
