Improve the students listening and speaking skills.教學(xué)難點:How to improve students listening and speaking skills by talking about the festivals around the world.教學(xué)步驟:一,預(yù)習(xí)指導(dǎo)檢測:1. 寫出下列短語: 潑水節(jié) 端午節(jié) 春節(jié) 元宵節(jié) 明年 拜訪親朋好友 兩周后 增加 從.到. 和.相似 2. 翻譯下列句子:a.關(guān)于端午節(jié),你最喜歡什么? b.我認為觀看他們很有趣。 c.我相信四月是那里一年中最熱的月份。 二,課堂合作探究

4、:1. Teach 1a.First show some pictures about festivals, ask students to guess how to speak them in English.Then lead students to have a look at the descriptions in 1a. Have them match the pictures with those descriptions.Check the answers .Put students into pairs to practice the conversations in the

5、box.2. Teach 1b.First give students 2 mins to have a fast reading of the 4 statements in 1b. Invite some students to explain the meaning of each sentence.Play the tape twice. Students listen and check their work.Invite a student to present his or her work to check the answers.3. Teach 1c.First lead

6、the students to read the sample conversations.Encourage them to make new conversations like this to talk about the festivals in 1a.Finally,invite several pairs to act out for the whole class.4. Teach 2a and 2b.Tell students : we will hear a conversation between Wu Ming and Harry. Can you guess what

7、they are talking about?Play the tape twice.The first time ,circle the correct words in the sentences. The second time, have to grasp the information about downsides Wu Ming did,write them down in the chart.Invite some students to check the answers.5. Teach 2c.First give students 2 minutes to practic

8、e the sample conversation.After that, ask them to make conversations using the information in 2a and 2b.Finally,invite several pairs to act out for the whole class.6. Teach 2d.First ask the students to read the conversation silently to get the main idea.Then lead the students to read it sentence by

9、sentence, explain some language points at the same time.Ask students to practice role-playing the conversation in pairs.Finally invite several pairs to perform for the whole class.Summary: In this period, weve learned how to talk about festivals around the world through some listening and speaking p

Weve also learned the use of objective clauses with “that, if and whether”.三,解疑釋惑:由that,if 和whether 引導(dǎo)的賓語從句。1. 可跟that 從句作賓語的動詞有:say think believe wonder know agree feel report 等等。注意:當(dāng)謂語動詞是think believe 等詞時,而賓語從句的意思是否定時,常把否定轉(zhuǎn)移到主句表示。Eg. I think it is right for you to do that.-I dont think it

11、is right for you to do that.2.由if 和whether 引導(dǎo)的賓語從句,是由一般疑問句演變而來的,翻譯成“是否”,從句用陳述句語序。Eg. I dont know if (whether) they will come to our party.四,課堂檢測:根據(jù)句意及首字母或漢語提示完成單詞。1.
