When adults increase their “wait time” to three seconds or more ,children give more logical , complete a

11、nd creative answers.Thirdly, watch your language .Once you have a child involved in a science discussion, dont jump in with “Thats right” or “Very good”.These words work well when it comes to encouraging good behavior .But in talking about science, quick praise can signal that discussion is over. In

12、stead, keep things going by saying “Thats interesting” or “Id never thought of it that way before”,or coming up with more questions or ideas.Never push a child to “Think”.It doesnt make sense, children are always thinking, without your telling them to. Whats more ,this can turn a conversation into a

13、 performance. The child will try to find the answer you want, in as few words as possible, so that he will be a smaller target for your disagreement.Lastly, show; dont tell. Real life impressions of nature are far more impressive than any lesson children can learn from a book or a television program

22、ain cells called the growth hormone secret receptor or GHSR for short. When Ghrelin was put into this area of the rats brains, they ate as hungrily as they did after being kept hungry overnight, the researchers said. Ghrelin is produced in the gut (腸道) and causes the brain to promote eating. Several

23、 hormones are known to be involved in eating and appetite, and studies have shown that influencing them can affect weight gain in rats and mice. Influencing human eating behavior has proven far more difficult, however. Horvath said it might be possible to design a drag that interferes with GHSR and
