And I annunced that, in additint the civilian respnse, the United States wuld establish a military cmmand in Liberia tsupprt civilian effrts acrss the regin.Tday, that cmmand is up and it is running. ur cmmander is n the grund in Mnrvia, and ur teams are wrking as fast as they can t mve

12、 We thank yu fr yur leadership.S this is all prgress, and it is encuraging. But I want us t be clear: We are nt mving fastenugh. We are nt ding enugh. Right nw, everybdy has the best f intentins, but pepleare nt putting in the kinds f resurces that are necessary t put a stp t this epidemic. There is

13、still a significant gap between where we are and where we need t be. We knw frmeperience that the respnse t an utbreak f this magnitude has t be fast and it has t besustained. Its a marathn, but yu have t run it like a sprint. And thats nly pssible ifeverybdy chips in, if every natin and every rgani

But the slpe f the curve, hw fast we can arrest the spread fthis disease, hw quickly we can cntain it is within ur cntrl. And if we mve fast, even ifimperfectly, then that culd mean the difference between 10,000, 2
