1、Unit 9 What does he look like? 聽說課 SectionB (1a-1e ) 第四課時 Learning Goals:一、語言知識:(常用詞匯和句型)nose , mouth , round , face , eye , singer My favorite singer is John Jackson. Hes tall and thin. He has short curly brown hair.二、語言技能:繼續(xù)讓學生學會從其他角度描述人物外貌,如:頭發(fā)、臉型、五官、眼鏡、職業(yè)等;同時通過聽說活動,進一步鞏固描述人物外貌特征的形容詞、短語及句型結構。三、學習

2、策略:通過看圖畫能盡可能完整的描述人的外貌;通過聽力活動,能夠根據所聽內容中人物的外貌描述推斷出正確的形象。四、情感態(tài)度: 通過描述同學、自己、偶像的外貌,簡單地表達自己的觀點或好惡,學會交換不同的看法,使學生在人際交往中學會尊重和理解別人。并培養(yǎng)正確的審美觀。五、文化意識:在英美等西方國家,fat作為形容詞,描述人時意義趨于消極,往往使用一些意義中性的詞heavy或委婉的詞語heavy-set等。描述某人很瘦,常用slim顯得更為禮貌。描述男人用handsome , 描述女人用beautiful , pretty 。通過描述不同人的外貌,對學生進行不同文化意識的滲透?!驹O計意圖】目標引領,表

8、示幾張圖片讓學生從其他角度再描述人物,如:頭發(fā)、臉型、五官、眼鏡等,讓學生完成1a任務,同時引導學生用完整句子描述人物。如果學生語言能力較強,可讓他們對人物進行更細致的描述,如果學生語言能力較弱,只需要求他們分別用句子來描述1a人物特征即可。3. 27、 sentences .選做:Ask Ss to draw a picture of “What do you look like when you are 20 years old? ” and describe it.【設計意圖】分層布置作業(yè),第一層作業(yè)幫助學生鞏固本課所學基礎知識和目標語言;第二層作業(yè)在此基礎上,把所學知識運用到實際生活中,提高學生綜合運用語言的能力,學以致用。教學反思:亮點:1.導入新課時出示一張韓紅的照片,讓學生根據所學的內容對韓紅的外貌進行描述,這既調動了學生的興趣又復習了上節(jié)課學習的內容。學生描述完韓紅后有了一定的成就感,教師再出示幾張圖片讓學生進行描述以此來進一

28、步鞏固目標語言。2.Have a competition環(huán)節(jié),教師出示同學們比較熟悉的名人圖片,采用競賽的方式,快速描述這些人的外貌。學生積極性很高,能在小組活動中積極與他人合作,相互幫助,共同完成學習任務, 盡情享受學習的樂趣。Play a guessing game 環(huán)節(jié),讓學生描述班里好朋友的外貌或本班代課老師,其他同學進行猜測,由于是對同班同學或最熟悉的老師進行描述,學生的積極性和參與度都比較高,達到了訓練的目的。3.在聽力環(huán)節(jié),注重對學生聽前的指導,提高聽的效能。同時情感教育寓于教學之中,培養(yǎng)學生正確的審美觀,不以貌取人,使學生在人際交往中學會尊重和理解別人。4.在聽后環(huán)節(jié)中,讓學生

29、自己繪制思維導圖,回憶自己在這一單元中所學的有關描述人的形容詞,并把這些形容詞合理地安排在自己所喜愛的歌手或運動員身上,然后上講臺用一體機展示自己的杰作并向同學描述他最喜愛的人物形象。其他同學認真聽,也可以提出問題。老師給學生提供了表達與展示自己的機會,他們能上講臺演講而感到自豪,能夠受到同學們的鼓掌歡迎而興奮,同時也能夠得到臺下同學們的指點和幫助,從而達到了培養(yǎng)學生綜合運用英語的能力。不足之處:1.Have a competition環(huán)節(jié),雖然學生能夠站起來大膽描述,為給自己的小組爭分而搶先別人站起來,課堂氣氛非常活躍,但大都是中上等學生參與,其他學生得不到有效練習。Play a guess

30、ing game這個環(huán)節(jié),雖然學生的參與度很高,練習的也比較充分,但由于學生的身高、體型、以及發(fā)型比較相似,所以猜測起來有一定的難度,課堂秩序有點混亂。2.學生繪制思維導圖并上臺描述,用的時間過長,導致后面的當堂達標時間倉促。改進建議:1. Have a competition環(huán)節(jié),首先老師提出要求:如果學生語言能力較強,就讓他們對人物進行更細致的描述,如果學生語言能力較弱,只需要求他們說出一個或兩個句子來描述人物特征即可。這樣就盡可能地讓絕大多數同學參與了。Play a guessing game環(huán)節(jié),要求學生在描述的過程中要抓住被描述人的典型特征,特征不明顯的,也可以從其喜好方面進行描述。同時要強調游戲規(guī)則。2. 學生繪制思維導圖并描述,老師可讓兩位同學展示其繪圖來描述,為了保證同學們的充分練習,可把這一項放在課后由小組長監(jiān)督完成。答案:1.
