2、ial一 Status and Function1. This lesson is the third one of Topic2. So if Ss can learn it well, it well be helpful to make the Ss to improve their listening, speaking, reading, writing abilities.2. Such a topic is related to daily environment, so it is helpful to raise learning interestsOf students.二

Learn more about the harm caused by different kinds of pollution and reasons of these kinds pollution.3. Ge
4、t information by using simple reading strategies according to different reading purpose.4. 5、Multi-media computer, a tape recorder, school things and so on. The teaching syllabus says that its necessary for teachers to use modern teaching facilities. Its a great help to increase the class density and improve our teaching result. At the same time, it arouses the Ssinterests in learning Engli
6、sh.Part 2 The Teaching MethodsAs we all know, to cultivate Ss good sense of the English language is very important. So in this lesson, Ill mainly use these kinds of teaching methods: communicative teaching method, scene teaching method, co-operate to study teaching methods.Part 3 Studying Ways1. Tea
7、ching the Ss how to be a greener person.2. Let Ss pass “Listening - Speaking Reading” to study language.3. Teach the Ss how to master the passing and how to communicate with others.Part 4 Teaching ProceduresIll finish this lesson in 5 steps.Step1 Review:T says: Look at the pictures in 1a, discuss in
8、 groups about what pollutions human activities bring and what problems the causes. Then get several students to report the result of their discussion.Purpose of my designing: Let the students to report the results of their discussionand teach to todays content.Step2 PresentationFirst: let Ss think a
9、bout some questions given by the teacher according to the pictures in 1a. The questions are:(1) What is the ozone layer?(2) What does the ozone do? Is it good or bad for us?(3) What problem will the rise of carbon dioxide cause?Second: let Ss read 1a with these questions and answer them. Then read 1
10、a again and choose a suitable title for each paragraph by using the reading skills we have. Master the new words. Purpose of my designing: Let Ss the main idea of each paragraph.Step3 Consolidation1. Let Ss choose the best answer according to 1a and finish 1b.2. Let Ss find out the different points
11、in 1a and solve them with the teacher.Purpose of my designing: Let Ss under the text deeply.Step4 Practice1. Divide the class into two groups. Let two groups find out the influences of O3, CO2 and the greenhouse effect on the environment. Finish 2.2. Discuss: What should we do to protect the earth?P
