6、n that, when two letters that make the same sound are next to each other, the sound is only said once. T: Guys, here are some words. What did you find out? Explain to Ss how the letters in the digraphs are joined.l The chil

The children write over the dotted word they.l Then the children cover up all instances of the word they on their page and try wri

17、ting the word in the next column.l Once the children have had one try at writing they, they check their spelling.
