11、im some chocolates, because chocolate is his favorite. 1. bring的意思是把某人或某物“帶來, “拿來, 強調(diào)方向, 即從別處拿到說話人這兒來。 e.g. Next time you come , bring me that book, please. 下次你來的時候, 把那本書帶來。 take的意思是把人或物“帶走, 拿走, Explanation即從說話人這兒帶到別處去。e.g. Who has taken away todays newspaper? 誰拿走了今天的報紙? 另外, 相似的詞還有g(shù)et 和fetch, 表示到某地找
12、到某人或某物并帶回來,強調(diào)一去一回。 e.g. Go and get some water. 去弄點水來。 Can you fetch me some paper ? 你能給我取點紙嗎?2. might:意思是“可以,“可能,用作情態(tài)動詞或虛擬語氣中。 (1) He said that I might borrow his bike. (情態(tài)動詞may的過去式,表示許可,意思是“可以 他說我可以借他的自行車。 (2) He might not know anyone at the party. 他可能在晚會上誰也不認識。 may的虛擬語氣形式,不表示過去,而表示現(xiàn)在或?qū)怼翱梢? 可能,但語氣
13、更委婉、客氣,有時表示對可能性有所疑心。Grammar focus1.虛擬語氣:如果我們所說的不是事實,也 不是要求、命令、勸告等,而只是一種假設、愿望、建議或是一種實現(xiàn)不了的空想就用虛擬語氣。 注意: 條件句分兩種, 真實條件句和虛擬條件句。只有在虛擬(非真實)條件 句中, 才用虛擬語氣, 而在真實條件句中, 要用陳述語氣。 (1) If it is sunny tomorrow, well go to the zoo. 如果明天天氣好,我們將會去公園。 在這句話中,明天天氣好是完全有可能實現(xiàn)的,并非虛擬、夢想,因此是真實條件句。請比較: (2) If I were you , I woul
14、d go at once. (如果我是你的話, 我立刻就走。) 這句話是條件句 “如果我是你,但事實上,我不可能成為你, 這只是假設的情況,沒有實現(xiàn)的可能。當條件實現(xiàn)的可能性很小,甚至可以說沒有時,就需要用虛擬語氣來表示,動詞發(fā)生了變化。 也就是說虛擬語氣表示和現(xiàn)實的事實相反時,從句用一般過去時,主句用 “should/would/could/ might +動詞原形 。If I had time, I would go for a walk.If I were invited, I would go to the dinner party. If I won a million dollar
15、s in the lottery, I would put it in the bank. 2. He doesnt know if he should bring a present. 此處 if 表示“是否, 引導賓語從句。should此處表示“應該, 不是虛擬語氣。 I dont know if I should go to the party. If I have enough money, I will go to Hainan. present 在這是“禮物的意思。 3. If I were you, Id wear a shirt and tie. if 引導的條件狀語從句表示與
16、現(xiàn)在事實相反的虛擬語氣時, be動詞只能用were, 而不能用was。 e.g. If he were here, he would not agree with you. 4. I dont have a present. What if everyone else brings a present? What if “如果怎么辦? 相當于 what would happen if。 e.g. What shall I do if it snows?What you (do )if you had a lot of money ?What would you do if you (win) millions of dollars ? If I (be ) you , Id go to see a film.If I were you , I (就會馬上去).If I got much money , Id give it to (醫(yī)學研究).Practice Awoulddowonwerewould
