5、語(yǔ)音辨析能力及語(yǔ)音模仿能力,大多數(shù)有關(guān)年齡變量對(duì)兒童英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)能力的研究說明:兒童時(shí)期開場(chǎng)學(xué)習(xí)第二語(yǔ)言的人最后到達(dá)的語(yǔ)言水平較高,在發(fā)音方面尤其如此。通常,如果學(xué)習(xí)者在六歲之前說第二語(yǔ)言,則他將很少或沒母語(yǔ)口音;如果學(xué)習(xí)者在七歲至十二歲之間開場(chǎng)說第二語(yǔ)言,則他可能有輕微的母語(yǔ)口音;如果學(xué)習(xí)者在十二歲以后學(xué)習(xí)第二語(yǔ)言,則他將幾乎總是帶一定的母語(yǔ)口音。兒童在語(yǔ)音的感知方面有其獨(dú)特的心理特征。有研究發(fā)現(xiàn),兒童對(duì)單音節(jié)詞和開音節(jié)詞的掌握相對(duì)較為容易,如car、cow等,但在感知以爆破音結(jié)尾的詞時(shí)準(zhǔn)確性差,分化較為困難,如:兒童總是把詞尾的輔音吞掉,把love mummy讀成lmmi;他們對(duì)輔音連的感知和
6、模仿都較為困難,如:在學(xué)習(xí)sw、gr、fr時(shí),他們往往去掉其中一個(gè)輔音或增加一個(gè)元音,此外,他們對(duì)近似音容易產(chǎn)生泛化現(xiàn)象,如hen和hand。因此,在英語(yǔ)教學(xué)中,對(duì)兒童在感知、模仿和分化上較為困難的音,對(duì)容易產(chǎn)生泛化的音,教師應(yīng)給予重的指導(dǎo)和練習(xí),使兒童在初學(xué)英語(yǔ)階段掌握正確的語(yǔ)音,以免對(duì)后續(xù)的學(xué)習(xí)產(chǎn)生負(fù)面的、定勢(shì)影響。本人在試驗(yàn)區(qū)對(duì)小學(xué)一年級(jí)的學(xué)生和任課教師做過調(diào)查,發(fā)現(xiàn)幼兒園期間學(xué)習(xí)過英語(yǔ)的孩子,如果當(dāng)時(shí)學(xué)的發(fā)音不標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的話,就根本上要比初學(xué)者花更多的時(shí)間和精力進(jìn)展糾正,反而加重了師生的負(fù)擔(dān)。二詞匯學(xué)習(xí)的特點(diǎn)在兒童語(yǔ)言里,詞作為意義單位所起的作用遠(yuǎn)比它們作為構(gòu)造所起的作用要大得多。兒童對(duì)詞的
7、掌握更關(guān)注詞的意義,而忽略詞在句子的位置、語(yǔ)法構(gòu)造等。兒童母語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)詞類開展方面的研究發(fā)現(xiàn):表達(dá)具體意義的詞一般會(huì)更早學(xué)會(huì),并且容易被記憶和檢索;兒童一般容易記住那些引起強(qiáng)烈、愉快情緒的、具有具體意義的英語(yǔ)詞匯。在詞類的開展方面,兒童在一歲半至三歲期間以掌握實(shí)詞為主,由易到難的順序依次為名詞動(dòng)詞代詞形容詞量詞。三至六歲期間,兒童掌握的詞類圍不斷擴(kuò)大,雖仍以名詞和動(dòng)詞為主,但其它詞類在總詞匯中所占比例逐漸增加。在英語(yǔ)教學(xué)實(shí)踐和研究中,我們發(fā)現(xiàn)兒童英語(yǔ)詞類的開展與兒童母語(yǔ)詞類學(xué)習(xí)開展非常相近。此外,有人Anglin,1970曾研究了兒童與成人對(duì)詞匯意義認(rèn)識(shí)的差異,并對(duì)兒童詞匯習(xí)得的開展過程進(jìn)展了追蹤
8、調(diào)查,研究結(jié)果在一定程度上提醒了兒童英語(yǔ)詞匯習(xí)得的一些重要特征,這些特征包括:1兒童傾向于將一組詞按主題橫向組合起成年人則一般將同的詞按句法特征進(jìn)展分類。如對(duì)于提示詞table,兒童的反響是eat,而成年人常見的聯(lián)想是chair。這顯然與兒童的認(rèn)知環(huán)境與抽象能力有關(guān)。2兒童對(duì)詞義的理解逐漸由具體向抽象開展。成年人比兒童對(duì)詞匯的抽象意義更容易承受,更傾向于使用暗喻式的表達(dá)法,如:3歲左右的兒童否認(rèn)bright和hard可用來(lái)描寫人,但到12歲左右,兒童便對(duì)這種搭配習(xí)以為常。3兒童對(duì)事物和詞的理解逐漸概括化。此外,本人還發(fā)現(xiàn)在現(xiàn)代信息社會(huì),兒童受電視、電影、網(wǎng)絡(luò)和各種平面廣告宣傳影響,容易掌握一些
9、廣告詞匯、流行詞匯、縮略語(yǔ)和混合詞匯。由于兒童的部言語(yǔ)尚未得到充分開展,在識(shí)記詞匯時(shí)總是要出聲讀,通常還有動(dòng)作和歌曲的支持。此外,由于小學(xué)階段的兒童記憶和思維都具有高度直觀性和形象性的特點(diǎn),所以兒童在識(shí)記單詞時(shí),如果能將單詞和實(shí)物、圖片、有關(guān)記憶的歌曲和順口溜或一定的情景結(jié)合在一起,則對(duì)詞匯的識(shí)記效果比起機(jī)械的重復(fù)效果要好得多。而且兒童的短時(shí)記憶也很容易遺忘,必須經(jīng)常重復(fù),還要用多種形式來(lái)反復(fù)刺激,才能進(jìn)入長(zhǎng)時(shí)記憶,取得較好的記憶穩(wěn)固效果。三聽說學(xué)習(xí)特點(diǎn)小學(xué)階段的兒童聽覺敏銳,模仿力強(qiáng),他們先天具有較強(qiáng)的對(duì)語(yǔ)音、語(yǔ)調(diào)的聽辨和感知能力,他們更傾向于用聽覺而不是以了解發(fā)音的方式去處理語(yǔ)言,聽是兒童
10、獲取語(yǔ)言信息的重要途徑,所以小學(xué)英語(yǔ)課堂上錄音材料被廣泛應(yīng)用。但是對(duì)于英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)而言,學(xué)齡初期兒童由于積累的詞匯還很少,更缺乏系統(tǒng)的語(yǔ)法知識(shí),因此,他們通過聽覺獲取信息的過程表現(xiàn)出需要其他信息輔助聽覺信息獲得的特點(diǎn),那就是借助于非言語(yǔ)信息的支持來(lái)理解輸入的信息。因此,教師和學(xué)生之間和學(xué)生互相之間在語(yǔ)言交流過程中的聲調(diào)、語(yǔ)氣、豐富的表情、手勢(shì)或體態(tài)等信息以及輸入的語(yǔ)言材料中的插圖、聲音、動(dòng)畫等非言語(yǔ)信息都是兒童完成語(yǔ)義辨識(shí)過程,即真正到達(dá)言語(yǔ)理解所必不可少的條件,它有助于兒童理解當(dāng)前輸入的信息,有助于兒童對(duì)自己當(dāng)前話語(yǔ)表達(dá)的適用性、切合性做出更準(zhǔn)確的判斷。兒童通過聽覺學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的過程中所表現(xiàn)出的獨(dú)特
11、性對(duì)小學(xué)階段英語(yǔ)教育具有重要指導(dǎo)意義。本人在進(jìn)展試驗(yàn)時(shí)也發(fā)現(xiàn),學(xué)生非常不喜歡純粹的朗讀或者抄寫的方式來(lái)記憶單詞,一般傾向于用圖形和圖像輔助記憶或者編順口溜和對(duì)話的方式進(jìn)展記憶。在兒童英語(yǔ)聽說能力開展過程中,有人認(rèn)為有一個(gè)重要的時(shí)期沉默期應(yīng)該值得注意和重視。這個(gè)時(shí)期一般出現(xiàn)在初學(xué)語(yǔ)言的時(shí)期,在較長(zhǎng)時(shí)間里,兒童通過聽來(lái)提高語(yǔ)能力,也就是說,通過承受可理解的語(yǔ)言輸入來(lái)開展語(yǔ)言能力,他們往往保持沉默,極少用新的語(yǔ)言來(lái)表達(dá)自己。當(dāng)語(yǔ)言能力積累到一定程度,兒童就開口說話了。所以這一階段不應(yīng)該強(qiáng)迫學(xué)生過早的進(jìn)展語(yǔ)言的輸出的活動(dòng),如說或?qū)?。?duì)于這一觀點(diǎn),很多人持有不同的看法。本人認(rèn)為,沉默期的存在并不是第二語(yǔ)
12、言和外語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的獨(dú)特現(xiàn)象,有時(shí)這種現(xiàn)象的出現(xiàn)并不是由于缺少可理解的語(yǔ)言輸入或由于個(gè)體學(xué)習(xí)者的語(yǔ)言能力局限所致,而主要反映了學(xué)習(xí)者的一種心理狀態(tài),即自信心。學(xué)齡初期正是兒童英語(yǔ)聽說能力開展的最正確時(shí)期,如果在這一時(shí)期,我們種資源,為兒童創(chuàng)設(shè)一個(gè)良好的聽力訓(xùn)練環(huán)境,加大可理解的語(yǔ)言信息的輸入量,在此根底上,為兒童創(chuàng)設(shè)使用英語(yǔ)的活動(dòng)和環(huán)境,鼓勵(lì)他們大膽開口說、練,就能夠充分利用兒童聽說能力的先天優(yōu)勢(shì),使他們的聽說能力得到較大的提高,或者至少縮短兒童語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)的沉默期。本人在試驗(yàn)區(qū)進(jìn)展調(diào)研時(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn),來(lái)自農(nóng)村和幼兒園沒有學(xué)過英語(yǔ)的兒童的沉默期較長(zhǎng),更需要教師關(guān)注,否則學(xué)生一旦失去學(xué)習(xí)興趣或者根底差距多大就會(huì)影
13、響以后的學(xué)習(xí)??缭绞浇虒W(xué)采用了豐富的多媒體資源和靈活的教學(xué)方法聽、說、背、唱、演,充分調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的興趣和表現(xiàn)欲,所以對(duì)普通班而言成績(jī)提高的速度較快。兒童學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的根本形式是模仿,他們學(xué)習(xí)語(yǔ)言時(shí),從整體把握語(yǔ)言,不為個(gè)別詞句所困擾,但由于兒童認(rèn)知能力的局限,他們接觸語(yǔ)言時(shí),主要注重語(yǔ)言能用來(lái)做什么。因此,兒童在運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言與他人交流時(shí),更注重語(yǔ)言的交際功能和意義,而不太關(guān)注語(yǔ)言的語(yǔ)法構(gòu)造和形式,與成人相比,兒童更容易獲得運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言交際的能力。兒童一般喜歡學(xué)習(xí)短的詞語(yǔ),與他人進(jìn)展簡(jiǎn)短的對(duì)話,他們對(duì)節(jié)奏感和旋律感比擬強(qiáng)的英語(yǔ)歌曲、歌謠非常感興趣,也容易學(xué)會(huì)。在我們?cè)囼?yàn)中使用的資源中就包括大量歌曲和對(duì)
14、話,情景豐富,發(fā)音地道,非常符合小學(xué)生的口味和心理特征。四兒童英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的先前知識(shí)和技能對(duì)于漢語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)而言,學(xué)齡初期的兒童已經(jīng)具有一定的母語(yǔ)知識(shí)根底,一般56歲的學(xué)前兒童已經(jīng)掌握3500個(gè)以上的口頭詞匯和進(jìn)展人際交流的初步經(jīng)歷,這是兒童語(yǔ)文學(xué)習(xí)的一個(gè)非常重要的根底。但對(duì)于英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)而言,處于初學(xué)階段的兒童的先前英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的經(jīng)歷和知識(shí)根底幾乎為空白,因此,他們?cè)趯W(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)過程中,常常會(huì)借鑒母語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的一些經(jīng)歷來(lái)學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ),這就是母語(yǔ)遷移現(xiàn)象。這種遷移常常會(huì)對(duì)兒童的英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)產(chǎn)生一些負(fù)面的干擾作用,但是也可能產(chǎn)生正面影響。除了兒童已有的母語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí)經(jīng)歷會(huì)對(duì)兒童的學(xué)習(xí)產(chǎn)生影響外,對(duì)于多媒體環(huán)境下的兒童英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)來(lái)說,
15、學(xué)習(xí)者對(duì)多媒體環(huán)境的適應(yīng)性以及多媒體環(huán)境下計(jì)算機(jī)根本操作技能的熟練性也會(huì)對(duì)多媒體環(huán)境下的學(xué)習(xí)的效果產(chǎn)生影響。基于網(wǎng)絡(luò)環(huán)境的學(xué)習(xí),兒童要學(xué)會(huì)一些根本的操作技能,知道如何使用檢索和導(dǎo)航工具,知道如何從一個(gè)節(jié)點(diǎn)跳轉(zhuǎn)到另一個(gè)節(jié)點(diǎn),這些技能對(duì)學(xué)習(xí)者來(lái)說都是十分必要的,只有在這一前提下學(xué)習(xí)者才能將有限的心理資源更多的投入到學(xué)習(xí)的容上,才能更好的控制自己的學(xué)習(xí)活動(dòng)。但是,對(duì)于學(xué)齡初期的兒童而言,他們不僅在英語(yǔ)知識(shí)和英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)歷方面極為缺乏,同時(shí)還缺乏網(wǎng)絡(luò)環(huán)境下的計(jì)算機(jī)操作的根本技能。因此,網(wǎng)絡(luò)環(huán)境下英語(yǔ)教學(xué)的一個(gè)根本前提是:必須使兒童掌握網(wǎng)絡(luò)環(huán)境下計(jì)算機(jī)操作的根本技能,這樣才有可能使兒童充分利用網(wǎng)絡(luò)環(huán)境的信
