Iftheamplitudeofdeflectionofthegalvanometermirrorsissmallandthescanrateishigh,asmallerimageareacanbepresentedonthemonitoratratesuptohundredsofframespersecond.ScanrateHighspeedisalsousefulformonitoringrapidkineticeventsinthespecimen.ScanrateThespeedforconfocalmicroscopeThespeedforconfocalmicroscopeislimitedbythelinefrequencyofthescanner.Generallyspeaking,intermsofspeed,confocalmicroscopyisslowerthanCCDcamerabasedsystemintheframebasedacquisition.Butthelinefrequencycanbeusedmore"economically"inconfocalinlinescanmodewherenomatrixof"mxn"isneeded.ThefactorsthataffectthequalityoftheimagesPinholesizeScanrateZoomZoomElectroniczoomisusedfortworeasons:1)
