Presenter:MiZhiqiangHunanModernLogisticsCollegeALEMiddleware-TestALEMiddleware-TestPlan1IntroductionThisdocumentdescribesthetestplanofCUHKRFIDMiddleware.1.1Scope1.2ReferenceThetestplanisdesignedbasedontheEPCglobalApplicatoinLevelEventSpecification.Thetypesoftestingthatwillbeaddressedbythisplanarefunctionaltestandperformancetest.2TestStrategyBynatureofALEmiddlewarearchitecture,thefunctionalityofALEistoprovideasetofAPlsviaWebservices.ThereforethefunctionaltestsaredesignedbasedontheavailablesetofwebserviceAPls,andatestingsoftware-ECSpecExplorer,isdevelopedfortestingpurpose.ECSpecExplorerisanapplicationthatcanviewalldefinedECSpecsubscribersviauser-friendlyinterface.Besides,italsosupportsallexistingALEAPls.ECSpecExplorercansimulatetheexactapplicationsideaction;2.AllunderlyingAPlsarecalledviaSOAPinECSpecExplorer;3.Normalunittestsarerunwithinthesamesandbox,whichmakesECSpecExplorerabettercandidateforfunctionaltests.Inanisolatedenvironment,testersmaynotabletoutilizearealtagreadertosimulatetagarrival.Itisassumedthattesterswillhavebasicknowledgeonusingtagemulatortotriggeratagarrival/departureinthiscase.Inanisolatedenvironment,testersmaynotabletoutilizearealtagreadertosimulatetagarrival.Itisassumedthattesterswillhavebasicknowledgeonusingtagemulatortotriggeratagarrival/departureinthiscase.

Ilnperformancetests,asetofcapacityprofilingtoolsshouldbeused,aslistedinthefollowings:1.Systemlnternals'ProcessExplorer-Monitorreal-timeresourceconsumptionwithin1hour-MonitorCPUandmemoryconsumption,samplingatevery1minute3.ApacheJMeter-LoadtestingwithmultipleSOAPmessages4.MySQLAdministrator-MonitorMySQLperformanceltisassumedthatthetesterswillhavebasicknowledgeontheabovecommonprofilingtoolswhenrunningtheperformancetests.2.1SystemTesting2.1.1FunctionalTestsAllfunctionaltestcasesaredesignedbaseonthefollowingstatediagram,whichisextractedfromEPCGlobalALESpecification:Althoughtheaboveisavisualizationofinternalstates,eachstatetransitionshouldbetriggeredbyexternalactions,suchasstart/stoptrigger,tagarrival,EcspecdurationreachedandEcspecdefinition,etc.Asaresult,functionaltestsaredesignedinviewoftheabovediagram.Forinstance,thefollowingproceduresconstituteacompleteflowofthefunctionaltestcases:1.TesterstartsECSpecExplorer2.TesterdefinesaECSpecbasedonasampleECSpecXML3.TestersubscribesaECSpec4.Testertriggersatagread(viaemulatororrealreader)5.TesterwaitsuntilECSpecdurationends6.TesterunsubscribestheECSpec7.TesterundefinestheECSpec2.1.2PerformanceProfilingInordertoensurethatthesystemisworkingwithinthecapacityoftheenvironment,performanceprofilingisneeded.Ingeneral,performancetestingmeasuresstaticanddynamicresourceconsumptionsuchasCPUconsumption,memory,virtualswap,andtherelationwithdynamicsettings,whichincludenumberofrequest,varietyofcontentprocessing,etc.1.TagLoader-AnapplicationthatsendsrandomtagstotheReaderAdaptorinapredefinedrate,e.g.i00tag/sTwojavaprogramsaredevelopedinordertotesttheperfo
