Abstract

Theuseofemailcommunicationinadulteducationhastransformedthewaylearnersreceivecoursecontentandcommunicatewithinstructors.Thispaperexaminestheuseofemailcommunicationasaviablemeansofdeliveringanatomyeducationinadultlearning.Thepaperdiscusseshowemailcommunicationcanbeusedinthedesign,deliveryandevaluationofanatomycoursesanditseffectivenessinimprovinglearningoutcomes.Theresultsshowthatemailcommunicationcanenhancethelearningprocessinadulteducationbyprovidinglearnerswithaflexibleandinteractivelearningplatform.

Introduction

Anatomyisoneofthefundamentalsciencesthatformthefoundationofmedicaleducation.Itisessentialforhealthcareprofessionalstohaveacomprehensiveunderstandingofanatomyforeffectivediagnosticsandtreatmentofpatients.Traditionally,anatomyhasbeentaughtinaclassroomsetting,usingadidacticapproach.

However,adultlearnershavedifferentneedsandpreferencescomparedtotraditionalstudents.Theyoftenrequireamoreflexibleapproachtolearningduetoworkandfamilycommitments.Theuseoftechnologyhastransformedthewayadultlearnersreceiveandaccesseducationalcontent.Emailcommunicationisoneofthemostpopularmodesofcommunicationinthedigitalage,andithasproventobeeffectiveinimprovingteachingandlearningoutcomes.

Thispaperaimstoexaminehowemailcommunicationcanbeusedinthedeliveryofanatomyeducationinadultlearning.Thepaperwilldiscusstheeffectivenessofthiscommunicationmodeinthedesign,deliveryandevaluationofanatomycourses.

DesignandDevelopmentofAnatomyCoursesUsingEmailCommunication
