表示"想知道"時后面往往跟疑問詞引導(dǎo)的從句:Shewonderedwhothatmanwas/whathadhappened.她想知道那個人是誰/到底發(fā)生了什么事。

Shewonderedwhatthechildwasdoing.她想知道那個孩子在干嗎。Iwonderwhether/ifhewillcome.我想知道他來不來。

smiling為現(xiàn)在分詞,作定語,其作用相當(dāng)于形容詞。還可以說:
