第頁共頁圣誕前夕幼兒園英語教案:教孩子們?nèi)绾涡蕾p圣誕傳統(tǒng)故事ChristmasEveKindergartenEnglishLessonPlan:TeachingChildrentoAppreciateTraditionalChristmasStoriesAsChristmasapproaches,manyyoungchildrenbecomeexcitedabouttheholidayseason,anticipatingpresents,decorations,andfestivetreats.However,thetruemeaningofChristmasgoesbeyondmaterialgoodsandcommercialappeals,rootedinthestoryofthebirthofJesusChristandthevaluesoflove,faith,andhope.AsanEnglishteacherinakindergarten,youhavetheopportunitytointroduceyourstudentstotherichtraditionsofChristmasthroughengagingandinteractivelessonsthatfostertheircuriosity,imagination,andempathy.Inthisarticle,wewillprovideyouwithasamplelessonplanthatfocusesonteachingchildrenhowtoappreciatetraditionalChristmasstories,suchas"TheNativity,""TheChristmasCarol,"and"TheNightBeforeChristmas."Theme:ChristmasStoriesObjective:Bytheendofthislesson,thechildrenwillbeableto:Understandthebasicplot,characters,andthemesofthreetraditionalChristmasstoriesDescribetheirfavoritepartsofeachstoryandwhyExpresstheirfeelingsandthoughtsaboutthestoriesthroughoralandwrittenactivitiesDemonstraterespectandempathyfordifferentculturesandreligionsthroughlearningaboutChristmastraditionsaroundtheworldMaterials:Threestorybooks:"TheNativity,""TheChristmasCarol,"and"TheNightBeforeChristmas"Visualaids:picturesofJesus,Mary,Joseph,theshepherds,theangels,thewisemen,Scrooge,TinyTim,BobCratchit,theGhostsofChristmasPast,Present,andYettoCome,SantaClaus,reindeer,andelvesProps:amanger,astar,abell,astocking,acandycane,aSantahat,andagiftboxWritingmaterials:paper,pencils,crayons,andstickersMusic:instrumentalorvocalversionsoftraditionalChristmascarolsProcedure:Warm-up(10minutes)Greetthechildrenwithasmile,ahug,orahandshake,andaskthemhowtheyarefeelingtoday.PlaysomesoftChristmasmusicinthebackgroundandinvitethechildrentosingorhumalongastheysettledown.Askthechildreniftheyknowwhatholidayiscomingsoon,andiftheyhaveanyspecialplansormemoriesforChristmas.2.Introduction(5minutes)Showthechildrenthethreestorybooksandaskthemiftheyhaveeverheardthesestoriesbefore.ExplainthatthesestoriesareveryimportantformanypeoplearoundtheworldwhocelebrateChristmas,andthattheyhavedifferentmeaningsandmessages.Askthechildreniftheywouldliketolistentosomepartsofthesestoriesandusetheirimaginationtopicturethescenesandcharacters.3.Storytelling(40minutes)Gatherthechildreninacozycorneroftheclassroomandreadaloudthefirststory,"TheNativity,"usingexpressivetone,gestures,andfacialexpressionstoconveytheemotionsandactionsofthecharacters.Pauseaftereachpageorchapterandaskthechildreniftheyhaveanyquestions,predictions,orreactionstothestory.Afterfinishingthestory,askthechildrentosummarizeitintheirownwordsandsharetheirfavoritepartsandwhy.Writedownsomekeywordsonthewhiteboardorflipchart.Repeatthesameprocedureforthesecondstory,"TheChristmasCarol,"emphasizingthedifferencesbetweenthemaincharacterScroogeatthebeginningandtheendofthestory,andtheroleofghostsintransforminghispersonality.Askthechildrentocompareandcontrastthefirsttwostoriesintermsofthesetting,thecharacters,theconflicts,andtheresolutions.Encouragethemtouseadjectivestodescribethefeelingsandtraitsofthecharacters,andtorelatethemtotheirownexperiencesorobservations.Finally,readaloudthethirdstory,"TheNightBeforeChristmas,"focusingonthevividdescriptionofSantaClausandhisjourneytodelivergiftstochildrenallovertheworld.ShowthechildrensomepicturesofSantaClausandhisreindeer,andaskthemiftheyhaveeverseenhiminreallife.Engagetheminadiscussionabouttheideaofgivingandreceivinggifts,andwhetheritismoreimportanttoreceiveortogive.4.Extension(30minutes)Dividethechildrenintosmallgroupsandgiveeachgroupadifferenttaskrelatedtothestories,suchasdrawingascenefrom"TheNativity,"actingoutadialoguebetweenScroogeandTinyTim,orinventinganewadventureforSantaClausandhishelpers.Encouragethechildrentousetheircreativity,cooperation,andcommunicationskillstocompletetheirtasks,andtopresenttheirworktotheclasswithconfidenceandenthusiasm.Providefeedbackandpositivecommentsoneachgroup'scontribution,highlightingthestrengthsandareasforimprovement.Askthechildrentowriteashortparagraphordrawapictureaboutwhattheyhavelearnedfromthestories,andhowtheyfeelaboutChristmasnow.Allowthemtouseanylanguageormediatheyprefer,andprovideassistanceifneeded.Displaythechildren'sworkonabulletinboardoraChristmastree,alongwiththevisualaidsandprops,toshowcasethediversityandrichnessoftheChristmasstoriesandtraditions.5.Conclusion(5minutes)Thankthechildrenfortheirparticipationandtheircreativity,andwishthemaMerryChristmasandaHappyNewYear.SingaChristmascaroltogether,suchas"JingleBells,""WeWishYouaMerryChristmas,"or"SilentNight,"andinvitethechildrentoclap,dance,orsingalong.RemindthechildrentosharetheirnewknowledgeandappreciationofChristmasstorieswiththeirfamiliesandfriends,andtobekind,respectful,andcompassionatetoallpeople,regardlessoftheirbeliefsorbackgrounds.Assessment:Thechildren'sperformancecanbeassessedthroughvariousmeans,suchasobservation,participation,articulation,creativity,andcriticalthinking.Youcanusearubricorachecklisttoevaluatetheirskillsandprogress,andprovidewrittenorverbalfeedbacktothechildrenandtheirparents.Possibleassessmentcriteriaforthislessoncouldbe:Understandsthebasicplot,characters,andthemesofthreetraditionalChristmasstoriesDescribestheirfavoritepartsofeachstoryandwhyExpressestheirfeelingsandthoughtsaboutthestoriesthroughoralandwrittenactivitiesDemonstratesrespectandempathyfordifferentculturesandreligionsthroughlearningaboutChristmastraditionsaroundtheworldWorkscollaborativelyandcommunicateseffectiv
