了解報考院校專業(yè)往年的英語口試形式

各院校各專業(yè)的復試口試形式各不相同，一定要對癥下藥。

可以通過詢問以前考過的師兄、師姐們來了解復試口試的形式，

可能的話，了解一下口試中常出現(xiàn)的問題。

總的來說，復試口試有這樣幾種類型：自我介紹;讀某篇英

文文章，然后進行翻譯或回答相關(guān)問題臟到某個話題進行演講、

闡述;兩三人就同一個話題進行討論、辯論（多人一起復試的情況）;

自由問答（可能是專業(yè)或與專業(yè)相關(guān)的時事熱點問題，也可能只

是了解個人情況）。

二.了解導師/考官

首先必須了解導師在該專業(yè)的研究方向，可能的話，看看他

們寫的書，因為在專業(yè)問題上，導師一般都會往自己研究方向上

靠攏;其次，了解導師在口試中常問的一些問題及習慣（這個又得

求助于師兄師姐們了）;最后，可以給導師打電話，讓他/她知道你

是誰，有你這么一個考生參加復試。

=.對以下幾個方面要多加注意，適當練習幾遍

1、見面問候語:Goodmorning/afternoon,dear

（）告別用語：

2、自我介紹篇（重點）。基本上每個院校每個專業(yè)的口試中

都會涉及這一方面?？脊倨鋵嵤且璐肆私饽愕目陬^表達能力以

及你的報名表之外的一些信息。自我介紹時間以2-3分鐘為宜。

思路要清楚，要突出重點，口語盡量流利(不要太流利了，有背

誦之嫌)。

1)考官要求你作自我介紹時，不要用...letmeintroduce

myselfbriefly/pleaseallowmetointroducemyselftoyou

等句子，重復、啰嗦。開頭可以只用一句話引入:Dearprofessors,

Ifeelsogladtomeetallofyouhere.然后就可以進入主題，

介紹姓名、年齡等等。

2)自我介紹的主體內(nèi)容

①姓名。介紹自己姓名時，發(fā)音一定要準(南方考生要多加

注意)。

②年齡。年齡可以跟在姓名后帶過(IamXXX,25years

old)o

③原來的院校、專業(yè)。注意：一定要把原來學校的英文名

稱、專業(yè)的英文名稱弄清楚(尤其是跨校、跨專業(yè)的學生)。

所屬的公司、職位。注意：在職考生則應將自己公司、自己

職位/職稱的英文名稱弄明白。

④性格、能力。可以著重強調(diào)你的個性對你報考的專業(yè)有

何積極的作用。如果報考的是學術(shù)性的專業(yè)，可以說自己細心

(carefully,detail-oriented),條理分明(logical)、踏實(steady)

等;如果是研究性、應用性更強一點的專業(yè)，可以說自己負責

(responsible),可靠(dependable)、有效率(efficient)等。

其他的一些表示性格、能力的形容詞有：active,

aggressive（有進取心的），adaptable,amicable（友好的）,

analytical（善于分析的），cooperative,creative,disciplined,

dutiful,energetic,faithful,gentle,independent（有主見的）,

innovative,motivated,modest,objective,precise,

punctual,precise（—絲不茍的）,temperate等等。

在職考生或有過工作經(jīng)驗的考生還可以強調(diào)一下你的工作

成績成口：AstheassistanttotheGeneralMangerofXXX

Company,Ihavehelpedtonegotiatea$200,000dealfor

thecorporation.

⑤愛好。AllworkandnoplaymakeJackadullboy.除

了強調(diào)你的學習的重視，同時也要避免給考官一種"書呆子"的

感覺。一般可以從體育、音樂、電影等方面來說，同時要簡單說

明這些愛好對你的積極意義（buildmybody,relaxmyself,

openmymind...）;注意避免提到那些可能引起考官反感的愛

好，如：playingcomputergames,watchingTV等。

⑥你對報考的專業(yè)有興趣（beinterestedin/be

fascinatedwith/beobsessedwith...）,可適當舉出一些例子，

如經(jīng)?？聪嚓P(guān)的書籍、論文、文章、新聞等。在職考生可以強調(diào)

知識教育對工作的影響：Inmywork,Ifinditnecessaryto

broadenmyhorizonsincommunication.That*swhyIlong

forenteringyourprestigiousuniversity.

3）結(jié)束時可以用說:That'sallaboutme./Well,that

swhoIam.Thanksforyourattention.

3、關(guān)于自己家庭、家鄉(xiāng)、原來的學校的一些情況，尤其要

注意原來學校的英文名稱。

1）家庭。需要注意的是，考官并不是為了做人口調(diào)查而提

出這個問題的，所以應該避免流水賬似地介紹家庭成員;要盡量

說明家人（尤其是父母）對你造成哪些方面（性格、職業(yè)規(guī)劃、做事

風格等）良好的影響。可以參考以下句式結(jié)構(gòu)：Justlikemy

father;Iamespeciallyinterestedinhistory./Thoughmy

fatherisanordinaryworker;hisresponsibleattitude

towardsworkhasagreatinfluenceonme.

2）家鄉(xiāng)。正所謂"一方水土養(yǎng)育一方人"，考官實際上是想

從你對家鄉(xiāng)的介紹中找出有關(guān)你性格、志向的線索?？梢詮臍v史、

歷史人物、著名景點、獨特風俗或特產(chǎn)等方面來簡單介紹，注意

要表達熱愛家鄉(xiāng)的情感。

3）學校。如果是本?？忌脑?，在自我介紹中就可以點到

（拉近跟考官的關(guān)系）。如果是外校，考官通常會問：Whydidyou

chooseouruniversity?那么我們就可以說說它與報考院校之

間的異同，然后說明為什么你選擇這個學校（Idolovethe

atmosphereinyouruniversity.Itisfullofyouthfulspirits.）;

要注意的是:一定要說明你對在原來的院校接受教育心存感激之

情appreciation（從好的方面說一說），著重強調(diào)希望能被錄取，

表達自己堅定的決心、展望一下未來。

4、未來規(guī)劃——學習規(guī)劃(研究生以后的方向)，人生規(guī)劃

(短期、長期)

5、意外情況——沒聽清，你應該怎樣要求老師再說一遍

(Pardon?/Sorry,Ican1tfollowyou./Sorry,Ilostyou.Can

yourepeatthatquestionagain?);需要時間思考、整理思路的

時候,不要出現(xiàn)沉默，可以用一些hmm,err,well等語氣詞;不

會回答某些問題時，千萬不要不懂裝懂，可以明確地告訴老師你

不知道

6、跨專業(yè)問題——老師通常會對跨專業(yè)的學生問這樣一個

問題：為什么會選擇這個專業(yè)?不要前篇一律地回答只說"我對

這個專業(yè)感興趣"，可以把每個人都會談到的原因簡要地羅列一

下，對具有自己特色的原因則可大談特談，詳細地闡述自己的觀

點，讓老師印象深刻。

7、專業(yè)知識一一在英語口試中(非英語專業(yè))，如果老師提

問專業(yè)問題，通常不會指望你能進行流利的、專業(yè)性強的闡述;

但是一些專業(yè)術(shù)語的英文說法還是有必要了解一下的。

&提出問題——在面試快結(jié)束的時候，一般老師都會問，

你有沒有什么要問的。
