Intermsofthecurriculum,Ihavetriedtomakethematerialsmoreinlinewiththestudents'interestsandabilities.Toachievethis,Ididalotofresearchoneffectivepedagogicalmaterialsandtechniques.ItriedtodevelopanappropriateclassroomatmospherewherethechildrenfeelcomfortableandcanfreelyinteractwitheachotherinEnglish.IbelieveIhavedonealottomakelearningEnglishfunandenjoyableforthekidsthroughgames,songs,andstoriesthatarebothengagingandeducational.
AnotherareaIfocusedonthisyearwasdevelopingmyclassroommanagementskills.AsIbelievethatstudentbehaviordirectlyaffectslearningoutcomes,IpaidattentiontothewaysinwhichIencouragepositivebehaviorinclassandmakesurethatchildrenunderstandtherulesandexpectations.Asaresult,Iamnowabletoeffectivelyleveragethepositiveenergyintheclassroomandeffectivelymanagethedisruptivestudentstoredirecttheirfocus.
Inadditiontotheabove,I'vealsobeenworkingonimprovingmycommunicationandinterpersonalskills.Iunderstandthatitisveryimportanttohavestrongrelationshipswithstudents'parents,fellowteachers,andtheschooladministration.I'veactivelycollaboratedwithcolleaguestosharemyteachingmaterialsandmethods,andevenorganizedafewworkgroupstohelpusallgrow.Ifrequentlyusenewslettersoremailstoupdateparentsonwhatwe'redoinginclassorofferanyadviceonhowtheycanhelptheirchildren.
Lookingbackattheyear,I'mproudoftheimpactthatIhavehadonmystudentsandthewaytheyhavegrownintheirEnglishlanguageabilities.I'veseentheimprovementofmanystudentsandIamhappytohavebeenapartoftheirlearningjourney.Forthenextacademicyear,Iintendtocontinueinthisdirectionandhopetoachievefurthergrowthanddevelopment.
