aboutmoreandmorenaturaldisastershappeningallaroundtheworld.Frommassiveearthquakesanddevastatingtsunamistoragingwildfiresandcatastrophicfloods,theseeventshavecausedsomuchdestructionandtakenmanylives.Justlastyear,apowerfulearthquakehitacountryfaraway,andtheimagesonTVwereterrifying.Buildingscrumbledlikesandcastles,andpeopleweretrappedundertherubble,cryingforhelp.Itmademefeelreallysadandscared,andIcouldn'tstopthinkingabouthowawfulitmusthavebeenforthepeoplewholivedthere.Anothertime,therewerethesehugewildfiresthatburneddownthousandsofacresofforestsandevenentiretowns.Thesmokewassothickthatitturnedtheskyorange,andpeoplehadtowearmasksjusttobreathe.Someanimalslosttheirhomes,anditwasheartbreakingtoseethemwanderingaround,lookinglostandscared.Andwhocouldforgetthedevastatingfloodsthathappenedinanotherpartoftheworld?Wholecitieswereunderwater,andpeoplehadtoberescuedfromtheirrooftopsbyhelicopters.Everythingtheyownedwaswashedaway,andtheyhadtostartoverfromnothing.Thesenaturaldisastersarereallyscary,andtheymakemefeelsosmallandpowerless.It'shardtoimaginehowanyonecouldsurvivesomethinglikethat,anditmakesmeappreciatehowluckyIamtoliveinasafeplace(atleastfornow).Butyouknowwhat'sevenscarier?Thefactthatthesenaturaldisastersarehappeningmoreandmoreoften,andscientistssaythatit'sbecauseofclimatechange.That'sright,thethingthat'scausingallthesecrazyweatherpatternsandnaturaldisastersissomethingthatwehumansaredoingtotheplanet.It'sabigandcomplicatedissue,butfromwhatIunderstand,ithastodowiththewayweproduceenergyand
