get表示到某處去把某人找到并帶來,或把某物找到并取來。get常用于口語中。

bring表示把人或物“拿來,帶來”,說明方向,即從別處拿到說話人這兒來。

take表示把人或物“帶走,拿走”,說明方向,即從說話人處帶到別處去。

carry表示為“攜帶,搬運”,不說明帶的方向。eg.Ibroughtyourpapersalongwithme.我把你的文件帶過來了。

beableto與canbeableto和can都可表示做事能力,這時兩者可以通用。但can只能用于一般過去時(could)和一般現在時。而beableto能用于任何時態(tài)。eg.Hecouldn’tgotoschoolbecauseofhisillness.他因為生病,不能來上學。

Hehasn’tbeenabletogotoworkforamonth.他已經有一個月沒能去上班了。

becauseof所引導的介詞短語通常用作狀語,有時也可作表語,后接名詞、代詞、動名詞或由what引導的從句,可置于句首或句末。

because是連詞,其后接句子。because所引導的從句通常作原因狀語,也可作表語。eg.Becauseofillness,hedidn’tgotothemeeting.=Hedidn’tgotothemeetingbecausehewasill.因為生病,他沒有去參加會議。
