Unit 9 What does she look like? (1a-2d) Language goals: Describe peoples looks.Learning Objectives: I. Knowledge and skills1. get to know and be able to use the words and phrases: tall, short, thin, heavy, medium height, short hair, long hair, straight hair, curly hair, 2. learn and be able to use the sentence patterns: what does she/he look like? She is she hashair.II. Important and Difficult Points in Teaching 重點(diǎn): be able to describe a person by using sentence pattern: he is he has難點(diǎn):Medium height curly hair straight hair 的讀音,形容詞的重疊用法,is/has 的用法。學(xué)情分析七年級(jí)的學(xué)生,生性活潑好動(dòng),對(duì)游戲、競(jìng)賽、畫(huà)畫(huà)特別感興趣。在課堂上盡量以鼓勵(lì)表?yè)P(yáng)為主,注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的興趣,營(yíng)造英語(yǔ)氛圍,鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生開(kāi)口說(shuō)英語(yǔ)、特別是給差生創(chuàng)造機(jī)會(huì),讓他們嘗試成功的喜悅。 同時(shí),七年級(jí)的學(xué)生還存在著學(xué)習(xí)方法和學(xué)習(xí)策略經(jīng)驗(yàn)不足等問(wèn)題,但他們卻有著極強(qiáng)的求知欲強(qiáng)和表現(xiàn)欲。根據(jù)學(xué)生的心理特點(diǎn)我在課上多以表?yè)P(yáng)為主,注重對(duì)學(xué)生英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)興趣的培養(yǎng),鼓勵(lì)他們大膽說(shuō)!III. In this class, we are going to learn how to describe peoples look.Step 3 Presentation of the new words and expressions1. learn the words about height: tall, short, medium height and the sentence pattern: He is tall/He is short/He is of medium height by talking about the pictures.2. learn the words about build: heavy, thin, and the sentence pattern: He is heavy, He is thin, by pictures.3. learn the words about hair: long hair, short hair, straight hair, curly hair, long straight blond hair by an activity “find the difference.”, and help them sum up how to describe hair:長(zhǎng)短+曲直+顏色。設(shè)計(jì)意圖:用圖片呈現(xiàn)目標(biāo)單詞和句子,對(duì)于高矮、 胖瘦的圖片對(duì)比鮮明,學(xué)生印象深刻。Step 4 Do 1a by matching the pictures with the words (1a) Students then read the difficult worlds: of medium height, curly, straight. Step 5 Listening. Pre- listening: T shows Amys photo and help Ss answer: What does Amy look like? T help Ss understand the listening background: Amy is talking about her friend, lets listen and fill in the blanks. You can listen twice.While listening: the first time, check if any student get the answer, then the second time.After listening Can you find Amys friend?
