2、oduced by as.預(yù)習(xí)目標(biāo):通過(guò)自主預(yù)習(xí),能夠正確識(shí)別定語(yǔ)從句。I. 用 that, which, whose, when, where, why引導(dǎo)詞完成句子。 1.The place _interested me most was the Childrens Palace.2. This is the girl _ you talked with just now.3. Ill never forget the day _I became a league member.4. I dont know the reason _he gave up his well-paid job.

This is the way _ he did it.7) They talked about the things and persons _they remembered in the school.II.觀察以下例句,找出限定性定語(yǔ)從句和非限定性定語(yǔ)從句之間的不同:(1) The information that you offered is very helpful. The information, which is offered on-line, will g
4、ive us some help.形式不同:限制性定語(yǔ)從句主句和從句間不用_隔開;而非限制性定語(yǔ)從句主句和從句之間常用_隔開。(2) The girl who stood in the corner just now is my younger sister. Mrs Smith, who is in the corner, wants to meet you.意義不同:限制性定語(yǔ)從句與其先行詞關(guān)系十分密切,如果去掉從句,剩余的部分意義不完整。非限定性定語(yǔ)從句只是其先行詞的附加說(shuō)明, 如果去掉從句,句子剩余部分意義完整。(3) This is the house which/ that we
5、bought last month. The house, which we bought last month, is very nice. He changed his mind, which made me very angry.先行詞不同:限制性定語(yǔ)從句的先行詞一般為_;而非限制性定語(yǔ)從句的先行詞既可以是_,也可以是_.(4) The girl(that/ whom)you talked about just now is my sister. He just sole the house(that/ which)he bought 20 years ago. Do you know

This book, which you can get everywhere, is useful for learning English.引導(dǎo)詞不同 : 能引導(dǎo)限定性定語(yǔ)從句的引導(dǎo)詞一般都能引導(dǎo)非限定性定語(yǔ)從句。但是,that 不能用來(lái)引導(dǎo)非限定性定語(yǔ)從句。(5)My uncle who lives in London is very rich. My uncle, who lives in London, is very rich.翻譯不同:限定性定語(yǔ)從句一般先翻譯從句,后翻譯先行詞;而非限定性定語(yǔ)從句一般先翻譯先行詞,后
7、翻譯從句,形成兩個(gè)并列分句。探究學(xué)習(xí):非限制性定語(yǔ)從句應(yīng)注意以下幾點(diǎn):1. 非限定性定語(yǔ)從句的先行詞可以是整個(gè)句子,此時(shí)用which 來(lái)引導(dǎo)。The sun sends out light and heat, which makes it possible for living things to exist on the earth. 太陽(yáng)發(fā)出光和熱,這使得生物能夠在地球上生存。2. When, where 引導(dǎo)非限定性定語(yǔ)從句,why 不能引導(dǎo)非限定性定語(yǔ)從句,用for which 來(lái)替代。1.) I had told them the reason, for which I didnt
8、attend the meeting. 我已經(jīng)把理由告訴了他們,為此我沒(méi)有去開會(huì)。 2. )I had told them the reason why I didnt attend the meeting. 我告訴了他們我不去開會(huì)的理由。3. 在非限制性定語(yǔ)從句中,指人的關(guān)系代詞作賓語(yǔ)時(shí),只能用賓格whom; 不能用who替換,也不能省略。1.) Do you know Tom, whom we talked about? 你認(rèn)識(shí)湯姆嗎? 我們談到過(guò)他。 2.) This book, which you can get at any bookshop, will give you all t
9、he information you need. 這本書會(huì)給你提供所有你需要的資料,它在任何一家書店都能買到。 (非限制性定語(yǔ)從句中引導(dǎo)詞在從句中作賓語(yǔ),無(wú)論指人還是指物都不能省略。) 4.as 和which 在定語(yǔ)從句中的用法區(qū)別。1) as引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句修飾表人或物的先行詞,即先行詞可以是人也可以是物;在定語(yǔ)從句中可以做主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)或表語(yǔ);常用于the sameas/suchas/as(so)as句型,as不論在定語(yǔ)從句中作何成分,均不能省略。Such teachers as know Tom think him bright. 先行詞為人such teachers, as作主語(yǔ)Ill bu
10、y the same bike as I lost yesterday. 先行詞為物the same bike,as作賓語(yǔ) ,指同一類事物此時(shí)注意和the same that 引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句的區(qū)別 Its the same bike that I lost yesterday. that引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句,作賓語(yǔ),指同一個(gè)事物She wore the same dress that she wore at Marys wedding. (the samethat特指同一個(gè))她穿著她在Mary婚禮上穿過(guò)的同一條裙子。 She wore the same dress as her young siste
11、r wore. (the sameas 泛指同一類)她穿著和她妹妹所穿的一樣的裙子。That is the same watch as I lost. 那塊手表和我丟失的一模一樣。(the sameas 泛指同一類)That is the same watch that I lost. 那就是我丟失的那塊手表。 (the samethat特指同一個(gè))Its so heavy a box as no one can lift. 先行詞為物so heavy a box,as作賓語(yǔ)此時(shí)應(yīng)注意as引導(dǎo)的定語(yǔ)從句和結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句such / sothat 的區(qū)分Its so heavy a box tha
12、t no one can lift it. 結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句so that 如此 以至于 He is such a good student as is liked by everyone. (定語(yǔ)從句,as在從句中作主語(yǔ)) He is such a good student that he is liked by everyone. (結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句suchthat) that在從句中不充當(dāng)任何成分,故不是定語(yǔ)從句,而是結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句2).as和which都能引導(dǎo)非限定性定于定語(yǔ)從句,并都可以在定語(yǔ)從句中做主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ),代表前面整個(gè)句子。He married her, as / which was n
13、atural. 他跟她結(jié)婚了,這是很自然的事。 He is honest, as we can see. 他很誠(chéng)實(shí), 這一點(diǎn)我們看得出來(lái)3)當(dāng)非限定性定語(yǔ)從句置于句末時(shí),as和which都可用來(lái)引導(dǎo)這個(gè)定語(yǔ)從句。但當(dāng)非限制性定語(yǔ)從句位于主句之前時(shí),只能用as.As I expected, he didnt believe me. 正如我所預(yù)料的,他不相信我。4) as 引導(dǎo)的的從句意義上與主句意義一致,表“正如”,此時(shí)不能用which. 常見的固定結(jié)構(gòu)有:as we know /as is known to all(眾所周知),as we all can see(正如我們看到的那樣) as i
