1、2009教 學設(shè) 計 征 稿高中英語人教必修一第四單元閱讀課教學設(shè)計A NIGHT THE EARTH DIDNT SLEEP江西省贛州市第三中學徐 英(341000) Email:xuyingxy2003Tel、教學課型:閱讀課二、教材分析 1教材處理本單元中心話題為“地震”,闡述了地震的成因、震前預兆、地震造成的損失、地震時的應急措施以及震后的救援等。我將Warming-up 和Reading兩部分組合成一課時。Warming-up中的圖片是唐山地震和洛杉磯地震的兩副圖片,引出話題“一旦地震發(fā)生,將會造成怎樣的危害”,為后面的主題作一個熱身運動。Pre-readi

2、ng 部分提供了地震前兆的圖片,設(shè)置了兩個開放性問題,目的是增加學生的生活常識,提高他們的應變能力。這部分為接下來的閱讀作了很好的鋪墊,學生可通過運用一些生活常識來回答這兩個問題。考慮到我們所在的城市沒有發(fā)生過地震,課文的內(nèi)容不符合學生的認知特點和已有的生活經(jīng)驗,因此我用圖片和汶川地震的即時錄象報道來補充其背景知識。Reading 部分具體描寫了1976年唐山大地震的震前、震中和震后的情況。作者詳細描述了地震來臨前的一些不正常的自然現(xiàn)象及動物的反常表現(xiàn);地震的來勢洶洶并在頃刻間將整座城市夷為平地;震后人們勇敢面對現(xiàn)實并及時實施搶救和重建工作。本課詞匯量大,并運用了大量的動詞,使得描寫更為生動,

3、文中還有不少復雜的數(shù)字,這又增加了文章的閱讀難度,另外文章中出現(xiàn)了許多定語從句,對學生的語言閱讀能力提出了更高的要求。2教學目標英語課程標準教學目標知識目標1初步掌握與地震等災害和事故相關(guān)詞匯,理解、內(nèi)化、運用課本31個生詞、12個詞組,以及相關(guān)句型與語法。2了解地震情況,學習有關(guān)數(shù)量的表達方式,了解反復、夸張和明喻等修辭方式的作用。語言技能培養(yǎng)閱讀微技能訓練:查讀,略讀,跳讀,尋讀等功能;著重培養(yǎng)學生略讀和查讀的快速閱讀技巧;提高學生運用所學語言知識描述地震前兆、危害及震后援救的能力。學習策略培養(yǎng)學生學會運用網(wǎng)絡資源搜索有關(guān)地震等相關(guān)自然災害信息的自主學習策略及有效合作與交際策略。情感態(tài)度通

4、過自主學習和合作學習,激發(fā)學生自主探究的興趣和熱情,體會“以人為本”的精神實質(zhì),培養(yǎng)團結(jié)互助精神,學習唐山人民勇敢面對災害,積極進行災害重建的精神。文化意識了解地震等重大災害的信息以及相應的措施,提高災害預防和自我保護意識。三、學情分析我校屬于省級重點中學,學生都是由市區(qū)各所中學經(jīng)過中考選拔上來的,中考分數(shù)雖不錯,但英語水平參差不齊。經(jīng)過問卷調(diào)查,我班(一個B層班和一個C層班)喜歡英語并且有信心學好英語的學生占了63%,28%的學生不喜歡英語。究其原因,主要是舊的教學方法與考試評價體系嚴重挫傷學生的學習積極性和自信心。一個多月的實踐摸索后,我發(fā)現(xiàn)我的學生思維活躍,他們許多人有自己的觀點和看法,

5、敢于提出不同見解,樂于組間交流,喜歡即時評價。在英語學習上,他們希望能學到知識性和趣味性兼有的內(nèi)容,渴望從英語學習中獲得更多的知識和能力?;诖朔治觯n外,我把學生分成三個大組,確定組長及成員,并分別布置學習任務,要求學生分工合作,收集有關(guān)資料,整理后在課堂上匯報。如組1負責收集各類災難圖片,找出相應英文名字。組二負責收集有關(guān)地震的前兆現(xiàn)象及相應圖片。組三收集震后(如汶川地震)的摧毀情況及相應圖片。課內(nèi),按座位,將學生分成六人合作組,相互學習、交流,以此激發(fā)學生興趣,讓學生互動學習,主動探索。 四、教學重點和難點:重點: 1讓學生掌握本篇文章中的單詞,詞組以及重要表達。2.訓練學生閱讀能力。3

6、.幫助學生學會合作。難點: 運用所學知識表達自己的想法; 如何就課文內(nèi)容展開話題討論;如何能把課文的內(nèi)容延伸與拓展;指導學生通過各種渠道如報紙、雜志、圖書館和網(wǎng)絡等資源查找有關(guān)素材,培養(yǎng)其收集查找資料的能力。 五、教學方法 根據(jù)對教材及學情的分析,依托當前教學改革,課程改革等先進理念,我認為,閱讀中,教師可以把圖式理論引進教學中,所謂圖式理論就是學生必須具備足夠的背景知識,才能理解作者在文章中所表達的內(nèi)涵。此處所指的背景知識就是指對作者利用文字所表示的具體事例背景的了解,背景知識越豐富,理解能力就越強烈。我的學生沒有親身體驗地震,沒有更多相關(guān)背景知識,因此為達成上述教學目標,我準備采用圖式教學

Many people died and were injured, but some survivors were rescued by soldiers.【設(shè)計意圖】播放視頻目的是為了引起學生的共鳴并激發(fā)其想象的空間,教師引導學生注意觀察地震發(fā)生時的情況;教師通過學生的圖片展示,不斷引出詞匯,鼓勵學生大膽描述當時的情景,盡快讓學生建立

11、與課文對應的背景知識,在描述的過程當中使用課文中涉及到的詞匯或者短語,并對生詞要加重語氣,這樣學生可以通過畫面和教師言語之間建立聯(lián)系,為之后的閱讀活動做鋪墊。4.標題預測 What kind of information does the author try to tell us through the title ?
