II.教材分析與教材重組

1.教材分析

本單元以保護動物為話題,旨在通過本單元的學習使學生了解很多動物已經滅

絕或瀕臨滅絕,從而認識到保護動物的重要性和必要性;通過探討保護動物的措

施和建議,引導學生發(fā)表自己的見解和看法;通過進一步討論提出有效的保護措

施,喚起學生保護動植物、維護生態(tài)平衡、保護我們家園的責任感。并能寫信表

達自己保護動物的方法與建議,力求正確表達自己的意圖并解釋原因,并能正確

使用被動語態(tài)的現在進行時。

1.1WarmingUp首先幫助學生明確保護野生動物的原因以及方向。旨在通過圖

片和表格引導學生討論當今我國珍稀動物的現狀。以panda、MiluDeer、SouthChina

Tiger為例,通過對這些珍惜動物所面臨的問題、在中國的棲息地以及采取措施其

后對比所做的報告,學生能夠用已有的知識和經驗討論在中國處于保護狀態(tài)下的

瀕臨滅絕動物。從而有效地引導學生關注本單元話題,關注動物生存現狀。

1.2Pre-reading是Reading的熱身活動。通過回答兩個問題引導學生討論自己所

知道的瀕臨滅絕的動物并思考滅亡的原因。同時要求學生通過閱讀文中的圖片和

標題來猜測文章的內容。

1.3Reading是一篇童話故事,講述Daisy乘坐飛毯跨越時空,在不同個國度、

不同地區(qū)與生存狀態(tài)不盡相同的和藏羚羊、大象、猴子對話的神奇經歷,展示了

Daisy逐漸認識保護動物重要性以及學習如何保護動物的經歷。動物們講述了各自

的處境,喚起了Daisy對動物的熱愛以及保護動物的責任心。從而號召人們熱愛動

物,保護動物,從我做起。

1.4Comprehending考察學生對閱讀內容的進一步理解與對所學知識的綜合運

用、遷移。練習1要求學生根據閱讀文的內容回答問題。這四個問題設計到瀕臨物

種生存現狀,保護這些物種所取得成效的措施、保護動物棲息地的重要性以及決

定保護成果能夠的必要措施。練習2通過填空練習,學生分析課文結構,內容特點。

為寫作做好鋪墊。練習3幫助學生綜合運用、遷移所學知識。通過列舉WWF所面

臨的一個棘手問題,要求學生小組討論找出合理的解決方案。

1.5LearningaboutLanguage分詞匯和語法兩部分。其中Discoveringuseful

wordsandexpressions是本單元單詞的英文釋義練習、在具體文章中的運用和相關

詞匯的分類與運用;Discoveringusefulstructures是以文章內容為載體的“被動語

態(tài)的現在進行時”的操練。由此可以看出本教材已明顯地由以結構為特征的傳統(tǒng)語

法訓練轉變到以交際功能為特征的功能語法訓練,充分體現了新教材話題、功能、

結構相結合的特點。

1.6UsingLanguage是對所學知識的綜合運用。

a.Readingandlistening是課文的延伸,先讀一段關于恐龍的說明文,簡單介紹

其種類及滅亡原因;然后聽一段關于dodo的材料并根據所聽材料做題,抓住細節(jié)

且要顧及中心思想。

b.Speakingandwriting借dodo的故事引導學生選擇他們知道的一種瀕臨滅絕

的動物并分析這種結果的原因。在討論的過程中練習打算,目的及意圖的表達法。

與其他小組交流自己所選的動物及拯救措施,選取較優(yōu)的計劃報告給全班同學。

之后,根據討論的內容,借助課本所提供的功能句式WWF寫一封信,希望該組織

能幫助學生實現這一保護措施。教材已為學生列出寫作步驟,學生只需根據本單

元內容組織語言,豐富內容。

總之,通過本單元的系統(tǒng)學習,讓學生了解當今珍稀動物的境況,激發(fā)他們熱

愛自然,保護自然的熱情;并能夠豐富語言知識,提升用英語表達觀點的能力。

TALKING一致,旨在啟發(fā)學生討論、思考本單元話題,可以整和成一節(jié)任務型“聽

說課”。
