SIPhasitsownSewageTreatmentWorkswasdevelopedbyCSSDandhasstartedoperationsinceNovember1998.Thecurrenttreatmentcapacityofthisplantis100,000m3/dayandwillbeincreasedto500,000m3//dayastheparkdevelops.

FeeandTariffs

Thefeestructureforsewageissimilartothatofwater.Thereareone-offpaymentsforconnectingtothesewagenetwork.ThesearetheIncreasedCapacityFee(增容費(fèi))andEngineeringFee(工程費(fèi)).Inaddition,therearemonthlyconsumptionfees.

Thiswillbecomputedbasedon80%ofthedailypeakedcapacityconsumptionofwateratRMB600/m3

Note:Sewageisdischargedthroughadesignatedconnectionpointundertheroadsurfacefrontingtheuser’slandplot.Allchargesincurredinconnectingtoitsownpremisesistheuser’sresponsibility.(SeeEngineeringFee).

EngineeringFee

Thesearethefeesincurredforconnectingthesewageandrainwaterpipesfromdesignatedpointsneartheoutsideboundaryoftheuser’slandplottotheuser’spremises.Theestimatedcosts:

TradeEffluentTariffScheme

SIPadoptsthesewagedischargestandardsestablishedbytheStateEnvironmentProtectionBureau(seenextpage).Usersarerequiredtomeetthesestandardsbeforedischargingintopublicsewers.However,iftheuser’ssewageexceedthelimitssetforBiochemicalOxygenDemand(BOD5),ChemicalOxygenDemand(CODcr)andTotalSuspendedSolids(TSS)only,andthedischargevolumesaresmall,itcanapplytotheSIPEnvironmentProtectionBureautoparticipateintheTradeEffluentTariffScheme.Underthescheme,theuserpaystheSewageTreatmentWorkstotreat
